Nice rifles Roger. What is the front scope mount on 5he 603 and did you get it? I had a 603 for a while but they are challenging to scope. Great rifles both.
I have a couple 300's and a 601 and agree with Royale on the differences of the rifles. I prefer to shoot my 300's but have to say that when shooting the informal indoor 10M benchrest matches at a local gun club my scores are three to five points higher when shooting the 601.
Very nice pair of rifles. I would agree the ssp rifles tend to be much more refined and fluid. I enjoy the fine mechanical of the older 300 series rifles but having redone several 60x series rifles, they are just a different level of fun.Either one you chose, your having a good day.
Please keep me in mind if you ever want to part with that 603. Love the look of that stock.

Hi Guys, Very nice rifles indeed, I used to have a fwb300s and let it go while ago which i regret, currently "hunting" for a fwb300s mini/junior with an aim of turning into a short range sporter to shoot local ground mice which are in plague level in Mongolia at some places eating up pastures. Can you please tell me how much these cost in the US at the moment lets say for average onesRegards Mgl

Was thinking about importing but it is gone now. Also i am abandoning the idea now after seeing how expensive they are going to end up to me (100 handling fee from exporter, 150 for shipping and custom tax etc) i decided to stick with my trusty Pro Sport. In fact we went shooting today and it was great fun toppling these little critters as far as 50m in a never ending target rich environment. It was so much fun, finished a tin of pellet in 4.5mm by the end of the day and this getting quite addictive as well. Was looking for something which is little light weight but after seeing how 4.5 gets blown away in some situation by the wind even shot from a rifle like PS with vortek kit, and for financial reasons mentioned above, i decided to scrap the whole idea. I imagine fwb300 will not be suitable in the windy situations. Regards Sanka

But Ulaan Bataar is above 4,000 FASL, so no springer will perform up to OEM specs at that altitude. ANd SSP's are even worse under those conditions.A little off-topic but, again, considering your conditions, I would get a DIANA Stormrider in 0.22" and install a regulator. Overall, you will spend less than $300, a $40 pump will do for a small air tube like the Stornrider and you will get better performance from a PCP at your altitude than from a springer.Simple physics. And there are pellet molds for 0.22" cal pellets, so you can cast your own.Keep well and shoot straight!HM
