Luke I just ordered one too, I'm glad they made them in brass, I much more prefer the brass mold myself, this should be a really interesting mold, first of it's kind

Note.... The HP is only in one cavity, using a Lyman style pin.... That is in the description....

I noticed that too Bob but I don't have an HP mold and figured I'd get one because I think if Al was going to make them like what you described earlier in the thread I figured he would have made them that way.

That's OK one hp is better than none! My Texan carbine shoots the lyman hp, so I have experience with this pin type. Now I will need to invest in a riffle to shoot the field points.....lol. Will need more power than a pistol! Thanks for the heads up though.

The moulds I am hoping Al will make, with all HPs, will be 2 or 4 cavity, and bear the designation RG2 or RG4 in the description....

I am still hoping to get it in .220/.222 with rg pins... wonder if he could interpolate all the way to .222/.224..?

I'll probably end up selling the 5 cavity mold I originally bought, it's actually in perfect shape but I won't be selling it until I get my other mold from NOE.  It's aluminum though but seems to work fantastic.

Kirby, I'm sure they could do that, but convincing Al to during production as a custom item would be what is required....

I think that's all Al ran of the 217-30-FN was the 4 cavity brass with the hollow point, I see that there is still one left yet.

 And now there are none  I got the last .217 hp, I see there are a few .250 in various styles left, I'm good on all cal. and style in both cal. now

I missed out again but I'm still waiting for the 217-20 to get back in stock and I'm pretty well set on 25's and 30's.

I'd like to get me a 30 cal some day but for right now I'm pretty happy with my .25's and .22's.  I was pretty happy to hear that my .25's tested excellent from an FX recently and I honestly was kind of worried because I did a terrible sorting of them with very few rejects going by weight only.  I really like doing a good visual inspection of them with my visor's but I was in a hurry to package them up and ship them to the testing individual.

I received my 217-30-FN hollowpoint mold in the mail today, I'll probably cast some up later today or early tomorrow

 I will try and cast some with my new 5 cavity with HP pin in on cavity, ans see how the cast and shoot, if I like I will be putting my .217 AL 2 cavity FN mold on the market.
