You all are welcome. Me keeping you informed does nothing but help the company! You cannot buy what you don't know is available! Plus I am excited to get this gun out. I have a ton of time and effort into this thing!

We are also launching the Remington 1100 youth pump gun this week. This is also one of my projects.

John, I'm glad to hear that the Gen 2's are "shipping as you type", I've been waiting patiently for mine to get delivered.

Side note: I looked up your Remington 1100 youth pump gun, please add a sentence under your description about how many pumps it takes to fully pump the gun up. Also if you could also add that a certain low number of pumps equals this FPS, a mid number of pumps equals more FPS, and finally the max number of pumps equals 615 FPS.

But to be fair.... I am kinda taking a shine to that Umarex 10/22. It's difficult because I am a long time fan of Crosman. They are hands down winners in the CS department.

I differently agree with your pick.
If I were to get one down the road the 177 does look the most promising of the choice. Given the now wider choice of pellets for the 177 I think it's got the right stuff to take care of smaller varmints that raid the bird feeders year round. Makes for a good basement gun during the long winters here in Maine.

RDB - I would expect that people get the advertised shot counts and velocities. All reported numbers are with legit led pellets (7.9g for .177 and 14.3g for .22). The advertised specs were generated from QA testing of the first batch of G2s built by production.

It's sprinkling here just a little, so nothing in depth. Opened the box, cleaned the barrel, installed a scope, pumped her up to 3000, loaded a couple magazines and spent two magazines sighting in. It's more quiet than my Maximus with TKO. After fighting the trigger for three magazines, I pulled the Challenger unit from the Maximus and VOILA!! GREAT TRIGGER! At the least, lighter spring and two/three screw mod. Even better Challenger trigger. I gave a half-hearted attempt at a group, but darkness set in. It does show great promise. More info next week, velocity and hammer spring tuning. This is a UTG 4-16X56 on medium rings.

awesome. Ken, did the trigger group install without any spacer shim needed?

My interest in this gun is purely because I was wowed by the initial, pre-release, of the Gen 1 model. Then I saw the Nova Freedom and later the Seneca Aspen.
The Fortitude may end up being a really good PCP and I may end up owning one, but I got tired of waiting. Not to mention I did not have to purchase a pump, bottle, etc for the Freedom.
