All - We are working towards an attempt at perfection on this gun. We have made changes to what is acceptable. We have made changes in our assembly process, our leaking checking and our QA testing process all with the attempt at perfection. This has come at the cost of releasing the Fortitude. PS I was playing around (I mean testing) two randomly selected guns from QA. Both in .177. They averaged 871fps and 872fps with 7.9gr over 15 shots each with an extreme spread of 10fps.

That sounds like a GREAT answer, I'd much rather wait a bit longer & receive a good working PCP than get it sooner & have a higher chance of issues.

Question: Was the 871 & 872 FPS derived from a "stock" power setting, or did you turn the power setting up to maximum ?

I do not understand why people are in a dire rush to get one

I myself am interested in the Fortitude but I am willing to wait until it is perfected, as I have other airguns to play with

I try and keep you all updated. I am excited for this gun to come out and for people to see the difference between the first one. I think you all will like the new fill nipple design as well as the improvements to the trigger and the bolt.

My post here is meant to be helpful.

Some of the machined surfaces on my Crosman guns look like they were machined with VERY dull or even broken tools.

I've made millions of parts for the medical and aviation fields, where a poor finish will lose you a customer or kill someone. Some tools last a week or more, some one day, others maybe four hours or even less. You can't make a nice part with tooling that is no good. If a drill needs to be replaced every 3 hours, that's what you have to do.

If you need a 32 finish, you also need a decent tool made out of good material, with the proper geometry and reasonable speeds and feeds. And even when you do everything right, it will still wear out.

An operator actually needs to have a few seconds to look at the parts, and make tool changes as needed.

Hopefully the new owners cough up better tooling and tool maintenance.

Glad I bought a marauder .177 this last weekend. Tired of waiting around for this gun. Now I have something to distract me for a while. Maybe by the time I get everything squared away the fortitude will be available for purchase. Or not lol.

John - I am not sure why they are not on there. I will have to ask about that.

Chris - The MRod is an awesome gun. I hope you got it all "squared away" by now as the Fortitude Gen2s are shipping as I type this.

QA finished testing a random sample of the first 120 guns built on the line with good results. Management gave the green light based on the test data.

I am looking forward to hearing reviews especially from people who had a G1.
