Didn't know how to phrase it. Are they a direct fit. Not a gunsmith and don't really know the proper way to phrase some of this stuff. Hope you got a kick out of it though!

Awesome! Thank you. I tried to get that out of the customer support at crosman but they didn't know. So it will work with the discovery stock boyds offers. I thought they looked to be the same stock. These air guns are definitely gonna put me in the poor house lol. I think the fortitude would be an awesome airgun with boyds new stock on it. I say its for my wife but I'll be shootin it when shes not around! Thanks again.

It was W2506ll (the photo poster) who said himself that they are a complete drop-in and that he has 2 of them.

I'm just happy to hear that they will work. I plan on setting one up for my wife to get her more involved with shooting with me. She broke her wrist a couple years ago and cant comfortably shoot the heavier guns. I like the discovery but its only a single shot and not shrouded. I don't care for synthetic stocks so without being able to upgrade the fortitudes stock it was off the table and now lo and behold its back on! This forum rocks.

Just a drop in stock, perfect fit MUCH, MUCH better support than the plastic Fortitude stock that on two of my guns rocked on the inside. The addition of the Disco stock helped with accuracy as you could imagine ;- )

Crosman.com seems to be accepting orders for the Fortitude now ( $399) and PA no longer list it as discontinued and is accepting emails if you want notice when they come in. Price is $299, If they let us use the 10% PA discount code I could live with a $270 price tag. This is going to be my backyard plinking gun. Turn the power down to 12 fpe and get 200 shots on a fill,

Typical response from any retailer. I just received an e-mail from Crosman CS - "The Gen 2 Fortitude have not yet been released. I do not have an exact date on when they will be available, we anticipating that they should be available end of April or Early May."
I will get one, but will not hold my breath!!!

It does seem to be taking a long time to get them out again. I was wanting them to get them out to someone to review before now. I don’t think with the changes they are making that it is going to be what I want power wise. But maybe that’s why it’s taking this long, maybe they are doing more than a power adjuster and different hammer spring. Guess some day we might find out, but by then I may have lost any interest in this one.

I was going to buy one but when it didn't work out I bought a Liberty. It's been a fun gun to shoot and enjoy rather than wait.

The reason we didn't use the Prod is the cost and that some people thought it would be easy to just drop a regulator in the Max and it would run with no other changes. If only engineering were that simple...

These Gen2s should ship at the same power level as the Gen 1 with additional power available via the hammer spring adjuster.

There are two reasons we have not shipped yet. First is a parts problem. We found an issue with a part and had to have them all remade. I caused one design pilot to fail QA testing as 3 our of 50 guns did not meet our expectations and it took weeks to get new parts in. The pilot guns had to be stripped and rebuilt once the new parts came in and then rebuilt and retested. This all needs to happen in conjunction with the build schedule so that the rest of our PCPs keep shipping. We are working hard on trying to get these guns out. Trust me no one wants to see these guns succeed more than I do!!!
