First shipments of accessories has landed for the P-rod. Jim Gaska's shroud extension and Tippmann 98 adapter, along with a BT TM-15 adj. stock. Using the 3-9 X 32 bug buster was tough with the 1399 stock, but the TM-15 makes it perfect, with a great cheek weld and more comfortable to shoulder.

Wow. Looks similar to a Marauder in a TerryX stock! Is there an air tube extension also? Very nice looking.

I ordered the them from Jim Gaska aka Marmot Militia @ pnjgaska@windstream dot net. He doesn't have a website yet, but welcomes inquiry emails.
Stock is from fleabay.

Tippmann 98 stock adapter and shroud extension from Jim Gaska, email addy in post above yours answering Nomadic Pirate. The stock, from ebay by searching Tippman 98 stock, which will yeild a plethora of M16/AR style stocks and folder style options.

Oh ya ......... I really like that!!!

Also ...... I read/hear the .22 Prod has better user satisfaction/accuracy than the .22 Mrod, and is 'the cal.' to get in a Prod. (??)

That looks very nice. Maybe you could post up some shot groups and show everyone what she can do?

Flyer- To the best of my knowledge the Prod only comes in .22. So yes that would be the cal to get LOL

You are right .... It's darned hard to give ground to any other cal when it's not in existance ....... doh!

Options:

Maurader pistol-

AR buttstock, longer barrel, longer air reservoir.

Maurader .25

AR stock, shorten the barrel to get the shroud to be level with the air reservoir.

Looking Good! Those stocks are a HUGE improvement over the supplied carbine stock. especially when it comes to eye/scope alignment. Getting a little longer stock is nice too. The stock one was too short for me.

Why is there silver showing between the shroud and the extension? Mine screws all the way in.

The silver is the Joining piece !! yours must be blacked??

No, he is correct. It is not screwed all the way on. The anodizing on the shroud kinda buggered up the threads when I put it on to take the pic, and it got stuck real tight. That piece directly butts to the shroud

Bummer! Now that you mention it, I do remember having to be very careful the first time I screwed mine in. I started screwing it in and then backed it off several times because it didn't feel like it was going in right.

Every once in a while I get that sort of thing with different adapters for astronomy/telescope equipment accessories that I buy/make.
It's usually a major thing to chase the threads on my lathe after the anodization .... so I've sometimes been successful in removing some of the anodization from the threads by carefully using a small, but fairly stiff rotary wire brush on a Dremel tool, and/or using something like high vacuum/optical (but in this case non-petroleum, silicon or lithium based) grease and doing the threading-on/threading-off repetedly thing.

It's surprising how much build up anodizing can cause when it's basically a staining process, wherein the major part of the acid/electrolysis process is just to clean the aluminum and build a thin layer of hard and easily colored oxide.
Once done ........ you simply use a dye in water to color it. (I've used different food coloring to make up colored aluminum parts)

In any case ........ the sliver band sort'a matches the tank band, and ya can't argue ... it's an awesome looking Prod!!

Hey Darryl-
No issues so far, solid. I'm just testing out a plethora of different pellet sizes when I get a chance to shoot. I got it zero'd in on my 30yd off hand plinking range, and it's pretty accurate. So far it seems to like the 14-16grn stuff the best, but I'll find out for sure officially, once the backyard floodeing has receded from the rainy season. I haven't played with any settings yet, just having fun.
