New Idea for balanced valve(kind of)

something Ive been thinking about for 6 months or so was to NOT make a balanced valve but build a hammer with mechanical advantage so it could open any valve based on how much mechanical advantage you build into it. Im thinking of a off set lever built into the hammer itself that will provide x/lbs force to the poppet and I think i have a design in my head that will work and possibly be adjustable also. looking for advise and concepts.

IIRC, shorty had an idea for that almost 2 years ago.... I think he posted it in the Machine Shop gate.... I can't remember the details now, but the general concensus was that it wouldn't work....
I found the thread I was thinking of....
https://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=121617.
The mechanical advantage was built into the valve, not the hammer.... Same principle, though.... Half the force over twice the distance is the same hammer energy required.... Unless you have a totally different concept, of course....

I do believe outside of the box thinking that reduces required hammer strike or amplifies it would be superior to current balanced valve tech that reduces reference of pressure on the poppet but requires non static o rings and pressure chambers that reference atmospheric air which ultimately waste air regardless of how tight the tolerances are. Mechanically doing so while trying to keep the design simpler than a pressure balanced valve however is why we may all be here pondering it for sometime. I'll be all ears.

I agree, but there is no "free lunch".... otherwise we would have perpetual motion and never need to buy energy.... There may well be something out there nobody has thought of, of course.... and why we all need to keep searching for it....

Tim gave up quick on that the thread wasn’t even a whole page long. No I have a totally different idea and it should work, I will have to run it bye the engineers at work.

Yep, he realized levers just trade force for distance.... I'll be looking forward to seeing what you have in mind, bud....

I’ll see if Jacob can draw it up in cad and then I can show a cross section of it. Impossible to explain without internal view.

My concept is similar to a Geneva mechanism that works inside the hammer ( mostly)

I’ll be following this one closely. The Geneva mechanism I had never heard of it before. Neat concept by I don’t see how it increases momentum . I must be missing something . Looks like I need to do some reading .

I gave up quickly because I don't have a mill to make those tiny precision parts. I still think it would work if the lever was designed correctly and could fit properly without major modifications.
Although,
I think there is a better Idea that I would like to see you pursue instead of the lever. It may be hard to explain but I am sure you will get it.
Make a 2 piece hammer guide that threads into the HS cap. The reason for the 2 piece guide is to allow it to pre-load the valve stem, and when the hammer comes home, it hits the lip on guide and removes most of the cracking force.
The only problem with this is I couldn't figure out how to auto reset the valve stem loading rod. I was thinking similar to a spring loaded punch mechanism but I am sure there is something easier.

I dont think a lever will work the math doesnt support it you need a mechanism a somewhat complex device that can change rotational force into linear force amplified.
