On a recent flight home, I was half watching the movie "The Predator". It looked like the woman scientist was wielding a white air force rifle. ie a tranquilizer dart gun. as you would expect, not a good choice for the game being pursued. Can anyone confirm?

Yep, it's the tranquilizer gun they take from the lab. I thought it was pretty funny.
So did it work, or did scientist get whacked by shoulder mounted turret weapon?
I have seen on several movies veterinary dart pistols based on Crosman Co2 platform, brass bolt in tubular structure, nice.
Not sure what movie, maybe Lake Placid or one of the croc shows has a break barrel in it. The guy was shooting it like a semi auto deer rifle. Bang, bang, bang and the water splashes next to the crock. My favorite is when an actor empty’s a mag on a semi auto pistol. Then he shoots a few more times and you hear click, click, click!
