A White Air Force rifle in "The Predator" movie?

On a recent flight home, I was half watching the movie "The Predator".  It looked like the woman scientist was wielding a white air force rifle.  ie a tranquilizer dart gun.  as you would expect, not a good choice for the game being pursued.     Can anyone confirm?

Yep, it's the tranquilizer gun they take from the lab.  I thought it was pretty funny.

No, but she was one of the main characters designated to survive the movie.

I have seen on several movies veterinary dart pistols based on Crosman Co2 platform,brass bolt in tubular structure,nice.

I saw that movie on a plane last weekend, I was going to post about and after getting home I forgot to post it.... It was a great movie for flights. A lot on cheesy one-liners too from the original movie with Arnold...

The laughable TV show Zoo features a GunPower (IE AirForce) "tranq gun" in a number of episodes.

I always thought with the dwindling of firearm ammo after a zombie apocalypse, higher power quiet airguns would be a great choice.  Get to an elevated location with a few handpumps and a bunch of pellet tins...  Load up, pump up, and be the scourge of the undead   Heck, a 392 on 8 pumps will blast through a 3/4" pine board, which means it is lethal power.

Certainly easier to carry a tin of .25 or .30 pellets than the equivalent number of crossbow bolts

Jurassic World uses tranq guns that aren’t based on a real world airguns, but are themselves some sort of bottle airgun.

The Charles Bronson movie “The Mechanic” features a take down CO2 gun that is probably an old Benjamin.

I noticed the white air force gun in The Predator too, shooting the tranq darts. Also seemed to have some sort of magazine and feed, because I swear they cocked and refired it at some point.

In the Netflix series “Stranger Things”, the first season has an episode where they are being chased through a junk yard type area.

The henchman are carrying Crosman 2240s.

I do remember seeing that Airforce rifle in predator. Lol. I was like wow! Wonder if one of the people in the production was into air guns .

Not sure what movie, maybe Lake Placid or one of the croc shows has a break barrel in it. The guy was shooting it like a semi auto deer rifle. Bang, bang, bang and the water splashes next to the crock.

My favorite is when an actor empty’s a mag on a semi auto pistol. Then he shoots a few more times and you hear click, click, click!

I've been seeing airguns used as firearms in quite a few action based Canadian and British made tv shows. Seems they aren't allowed to touch a firearm. Even a non shooting prop. LOL!


Both the space age Evanix bullpups and AF ag's have been popular the past few years in these sifi/action films.
