A Variable Frequency Drive unit will allow you to use this from single phase power feed. Your 220v dryer circuit could handle the load if you have use for the compressor. Wolf Automation online. I just got one for a 1 hp woodworking machine for $130. I think that model will handle up to 3 hp. Tom

I already have a alkin w35 ,don't really need another one , just went and looked at it out of curiosity, though I would check it out and if it was better than my alkin I would sell the alkin but don't want to buy a vfr just to ser if it works, motor is 5 hp, might be a good deal for someone only 400.00

Not sure where its made, I did find a manual for it online , some parts too,the 4th stage piston is as big as the 1st stage on my alkin , if IIRC the cfm is 115 , I looked at prices for a single ph 15 hp motor ,around 800.00 so a phase conferter is the way to go

Where is this thing located? Anywhere near Arkansas? I have high and low voltage three phase in my shop so it is no trouble to run it as it is.
More than likely the electrics are all phase sensitive too and would be trouble to get to run right with a rotary converter and especially a static start box.
If it is wired 480v....no rotary or static start will run it.
