Here's a review on the one I bought. I clamp on barrel. Glued some foam padding where barrel rests and threaded plastic tubing over loop wire. There's a thread on GTA converting the manual to English. It reads in MPS so has to be converted.

That is odd. If I go to Walmart.com I can see the one from the SPHET vendor and also the $3 cheaper from  GreatNewMall vendor.  Different vendors different prices but it seems like all vendors would load. Maybe geographical on what the page loads?

It is; walmart's software will deliberately alter what you can and cannot see (know this for a fact; have proven it many times) based on location and your browsing history-but that is another matter not pertinent to this thread

Mine lasted over a year. Before Christmas the main button, on/off various function failed. Stuck in the depressed position like you are turning it on or off.
I certainly got my $30 out of it though.

I ordered another off fleabay.

I have the clamp-on model.
I wish I had bought the tripod model because you can shoot groups and test speed at the same time (if you are careful).
The groups change location using clamp-on model, but it is a good speed tester.

Just an FYI, I bought the following and it stopped working properly the third time I used it.  It only gives the first three readings, after that it gives a "--".  I thought it was just an error and shot a few more times but got the same reading.  I restarted the unit a few times and each time it has the same issue.  I know about not having the muzzle too near the first diode, so that is not the cause.   Too bad, it does speeds to the tenth 0.1, MPS, FPS and Joules, I was excited.  Also, the screws for the bracket are too short to work with the shroud, about 1 cm shorter than my other broken unit.  So, buyer beware.

I have this same model I purchased last year. I took that top barrel bracket off and glued a piece of open cell foam onto bracket base. I then threaded a piece of tubing over u-bolt. I clamp it on the end of my barrel this way and I am able to shoot with no interference in sight or POI. As far as adjustments go I can extend the display time to be more than the 5 sec which is stock. I am pretty sure mine only reads MPS like it states on top 1-999 m/s. When I got mine it was 32 bucks

I use different "mods" to help fit best barrels.

Like a tubing on the ubolt or pad on the yoke..ect.

 now i just set it on the bench without mounting and shoot the trough it .  all i need is a good string anyway from it.

.177 things got to be just right  mostly light for them smaller pellets.   .22 dont have much if any issues.

UPDATE: I called Amazon support and spoke with a rep, he gave me a "one time" return period extension and is sending me a replacement unit.
