Playing around with the air stripper and seeing if I can make it better ?

These all fit in the shroud as a direct replacement to the stock stripper.

Taso is on the right type of stripper design. IMO
The main problem is the shroud dia is so close to the barrel dia you don't get a lot of area to have the stripped off gas to go without venting the shroud by the breech.
I believe the air strippers that have an extended probe allows the pellet to enter the probe and vent the gasses at that time to the shroud. The gasses will expand as soon as it hits the stripper vent (to shroud) and the pellet seals the extended probe briefly allowing the gasses to divert to the shroud. A larger dia shroud would help a lot. This why the DonnyFl LDC's work so well. The gasses expand into the shroud (if you will) and lower the pressure or volume of gasses moving forward.

The Slayer air stripper is kinda like extended probe design and it is a great air stripper. Larger shroud with better airflow from air stripper to shroud. There's not enough room in the Mrod design to do what Tom did with the Slayer platform.

Nice air/water strippers

I have 2 of the Hatsan strippers, w/c I had powdercoated.

Their finish is not up to my standards, lol!

I also had stainless cones with different hole diameters made.

Frankly, with or w/o or strippers does not make a big difference in accuracy--or so I have noticed.

That is an awesome way to see how well the strippers are working!

My idea was just a WAG from what I have seen. I honestly have never thought of how air strippers work. I would think the majority of the air goes straight through the center.

The only way I think it would work well is in the very short time the pellet has to bridge the space between the end of the barrel and it's entrance into the cone, it is blocking and pushing air to the sides and back.

So in this application it would be more of an air diverter.

I think if you could replicate the pellet in the gap of all your prototypes the results with water would be different.

I took my stripper out of my Marauder and made the holes in it as big as I could and at a angle using a Dremel it made a difference

Pretty sure this is as good as it get's.

On all my strippers, I drilled out the stock ones too. This blows them out of the water for air divergent and maximum flow towards the shroud.

Looking back at the pictures, it's kind of funny with some old $)((# in his driveway playing with the garden hose at the end of November. My neighbors must think I am nutz.

Only in Florida I guess.

I am gonna try and put some on Ebay and gonna need someone to test the .177/22 because my barrel on my 22 is a little modified and no longer stock diameter due to a wedding band "type" choke sleeve.

Anyone want to test a .22/.177 for fit ?

The 22/177 is covered but I am printing out a Gauntlet one now.

How about a Gauntlet one ? I can most likely guarantee it will fit nicely as I am not going to bed until I have mine on tonight and test fire it. If the wife doesn't wake up and start yelling at me I will call it a success.
