Also, everyone should take note that this appears to be solid evidence that "Ships from and sold by Amazon.com." has a meaning different from what most humanoids would assume. And this is very likely (at least part of) the reason behind the variance in package/contents physical condition.

Two more things: The shipping label saying "Amazon ... Hebron, KY" doesn't mean squat.
It doesn't even mean that Amazon was really the shipper (just that it [probably] was charged to their acct.). Do you still have the box, Jason? The shipping label says Amazon, not Green Supply, right?

The real telltale sign is that the shipping box (and the packing tape) are NOT Amazon-branded (like almost all the rest of your AMZN deliveries are.

Btw, Green Supply isn't a "vendor"; they appear to be a pretty major distributor of Sporting Goods. See:

Ask yourself "Why is a major distributor shipping 2-4 tins of pellets to a retail end-user?"

Mine finally showed up. Amazon took the extra step of splitting my order so they could combine one tin with a delicate 5" LCD screen I had intentionally ordered separately. Both orders showed up at the same time in 8x10 boxes with two air pillows (these are included to provide the customer some stress relief activity). While there were some dents on the tins, they are taped shut and the pellets inside look OK. Fortunately the LCD vendor understands Amazon and packed it well in firm foam. Overall it came out OK but I would not order pellets from Amazon that aren't taped closed or in a blister pack.

Both orders showed up in identical boxes with identical tape and packing, . Online tracking shows one entering the Amazon system in Kentucky and one in California.

Got mine today, 4 tins in a box maybe 5 x 5 x 5" which is much smaller than what Amazon would have used. There was a sheet of bubble wrap in the box that may have been wrapped around the tins but was not taped so merely ended up acting as a version of an air pillow. Some of the tins had some minor dings in them and the one i opened appeared to have no issues with the pellets. Put about 8 through my 34P at 30 yds. First 5 were a very tight group then some fliers which were probably me because it was getting cold, I'm tired etc. With i had ordered another 4 at that price.

Clem, that's right. The shipping label reads "Amazon DSV" in New Hebron KY but the tracking shows it originated from Bowling Green MO. I found some press releases for Amazon opening a distribution facility in St. Peters MO which is about 60 miles from Bowling Green, whereas it looks like Green Supply is in Vandalia MO only 16 miles from Bowling Green. That's not definitive but considering Vandalia is a small town with a population under 4000, it seems reasonable that their packages would leave from the nearby Bowling Green...although it's not very big either.

I don't find any reference to Green Supply on the box itself.

That's a great price on the Baracuda Hunters if your gun likes them.

Regarding the Crosman Heavies, I have a couple of rifles that absolutely loved them years ago but the recent batch was awful. Your mileage may vary but I couldn't get them to group acceptably in any of the 5 rifles I tried.

Amazon has a pretty good price on .177 H&N FTT for $10 on a seemingly ongoing basis with Prime shipping.

These have produced nice groups in multiple rifles, for example the Plinkster (SPA CR600W)

Pyramyd's price is $13, and even if you do the "4th one is free" promotion and 11% discount, the only way to beat Amazon's price is to get your order over the $149 mark to get free shipping.

I have some of these H&N pellets bought from amazon. Don't know what their head size spec is, or if amazon tracks that. Pure speculation based on one can, but Amazon may be "dumping" the larger head size pellets no one is buying from PA etc:

Mine can of these H&N pellets measure 4.53/ 4.54 mm at the head, and are a little too hard to load in my break barrel airguns. Will probably be just fine in PCPs, but I don't have a .177 PCP (waiting for Fortitude quality to improve

). They also seem to catch a little when loading my Daisy 753 Avanti. Almost as if the transfer port edge is sharp...

As for the Crosman Heavies; I amazed how high the regular price is for the brown box product. I know that many people have had good results with them from the brown box, but I only have a few cans that are as yet, unopened...

EDIT: I read your thread, asking what happened to the Crosman Heavies. Those split groups make it look almost as if Crosman are mixing pellets from two or more different dies...

Hoo boy! Just tried the Supermags in the Frankenstein 2400KT HPA.

#1 is a 5-shot group
#2 is a couple of shots after a scope adjustment. Oops, I turned the elevation the wrong way.
#3 is a couple of shots after another adjustment. Getting closer. Twisted the knobs some more.
#4 and #5 are 5-shot groups.

Loving that accuracy! A little over 9fpe, very quiet and a ton of shots thanks to the SSG. This one's going to get a lot of trigger time.

I have had very good results with lots and lots of RWS wadcutter pellets over many years. So, I don't know how the H&N economy line of wadcutters perform. Be that as it may, amazon are selling HN Excite wadcutter at $3.90 per 500 , here:

The user reviews seem to have rather too many negatives, that suggest using RWS Basic instead. For $3.90 per 500, perhaps these HN pellets can be used for "break-in" purposes; or the bad ones can be screened out; if you have the time...

The non-economy H&Ns seem to have a much better reputation; at a still just palatable price:

Yes, the wadcutters would not group in any of the 4 rifles I tried.

The domes were pretty bad as well but they did better after tumble deburring.
