I second Diana 35. The bulged rear on the endcap is typical of the Diana "3 ball sear" guns. Is there some writing on top of the compression tube, just ahead of the scope rail? If so, might it say "Winchester"? That would make it a Winchester 435 (same gun but rebranded by Winchester). The red butt pad is typical of these Diana's, too. Add some silicone oil to the piston seal through the transfer port and let it sit for a couple of days butt-down. 35's have leather seals. Nice find. If you look on the left rear of the compression tube just above the wood line, you should see the two sets of tiny MM YY numbers. You might need a magnifying glass to distinguish them. Nice find.

Unless someone names it from sight i'll dig through my antique AG books and see what i can find. JWhat's BSF?

Link to earlier discussion on BSFhttp://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php/topic,9325.0.htmlBSF cocking linkage is such that it does not require much cut out in the forearm. Mine has made in west Germany stamped on it. The model is stamped on side of block in front of hinge point. Serial number is on bottom of barrel at hinge point and on frame.
I'd get it polished/reblued and tuned. Then, I'd shoot it a bunch.
