cant decide on a new rifle...help!

rabbits and squirrels have started to become absolute jerks. eating away at all my wifes flowers, digging holes, breaking the bottom of our fence/chewing on the top of our fence. there used to be a formidable hawk that kept them in check, but he disappeared last fall and now they seem to think they run the block.
while my umarex xcp/xbg pistol is good for those 3-4 meter headshots on bunnies. but it gets wild any farther than that.
the squirrels are usually too quick by the time i get within range.

so im looking for a budget pellet rifle to deal with them.

something around 500-900fps, accurate to 1"-2" groups from 10-20yards.
i honestly hate all the crosman and daisy multipumps, also i dont want to spend $90+ on a gas piston break barrel/pcp or 24-80g co2 semi auto, trying to stay around $50. as this is literally just for pest control, for target time or real hunting ill use a cartridge firearm.

im really leaning towards a bear river sportsman 900, or if i can find a refurb or used winchester m14 24g co2. or the idea of a B3 off amazon, as i like the all metal/wood construction, but realize it will need tuned and modified.

anybody have input or suggestions?

I can't think of any good options new for around $50 that would be sufficient enough that you would want.
I think a crosman 2100 might work with good shot placement, but you don't like crosman for some reason.

The Daisy Winchester m14 uses 2 12 great Co2 cartridges and mine is really not something I'd consider using for pests.
You can probably find a crosman Optimus or other crosman springer on sale for around $60 , but the cost to tune it goes up.

I'd probably check the classifieds here and see if someone is selling something you'd like for a good price.

thats why i figured id ask. yeah the F4 refurb zeems like a decent option.
there are a few crosman and daisy rifles i like, that would suit my needs fps/power wise, they are just out of the price range im willing to spend.
i mean a 10/22 or the like can be had for $100 all day, i cant justify spending that on an air rifle just for nuisance animal control lol.

from the reviews and chrono tests ive seen.
the co2 m14 $50-$60 used/refurb, B3-3 $40-50(then a complete tune), BR sportsman900/BO sniper JR $35-50(piston and tube work). seemed like good options, id consider a morph x3 if it could run pellets.

I second the Walmart (crosman) f-4. I read that you are not a crosman fan and neither am I. I use the f4 for pesting around the house and my pcps around the ranch.
The f-4 with polymags takes care of all the critters that you seem to have. Very accurate and enough power no tuning needed.

  A couple of things to think about ;

$50 does not buy much of an air rifle, BUT the ammo is a lot cheaper for an air rifle, than a .22 rimfire.

You may want & need a scope, but the scopes that come on air rifles are cheap, & break easily. A new , decent, air rifle scope will cost over $50.

Maybe something used will come up for you.

Check walmart for deals, posted in the bargain gate. I got two Beeman Kodiak dual barrels, each $25. Or you can go with P17 pistol, very accurate but maybe low on power.

A good pesting pellet-delivery for under $50?

There's only one clear choice and you already said you don't like multi-pumps.  But I'll say it anyway: the 1377- often found on Amazon for $49.  There's not better starting platform for pesting.  Ask any of the hundreds of rabbits, hundred of squirrel, or thousands of pigeons and English House Sparrows me or my brother-in-law have killed.

As far as Ruger 10/22- haven't seen one for $100 anywhere in a very long time- 2 decades- unless it was rusted or had a bent barrel, and pellets are generally much cheaper than bullets, never mind I can shoot all day long in my backyard with my "bb guns" and nobody cares. 

If you bump up that price range to $100 you open a lot of other doors in airgunning- but I guess a used 10/22 without ammo is a better choice for $100.

I know you said that you did not like the daisy multi pumps. But the 880 with a GEO LDC is the right tool for this job in this price range. I was embarrassed to go through the checkout with mine, (“plastic BB gun kids toy” people looking at me wierd) but once I got it home and got the GEO on it it is a great value. (It is no toy.)   I have killed more then a few rats with it.  Over at the Daisy gate there are folks talking about taking squirrel at 30 yards with it.  Mine shoots very straight, I would also offer a guess it will out shoot the springers you are looking at.

I have no clue what you like about the Bear River that you don't like about the Daisy 880, but based on everything I see and their fps claims they're essentially the same in function.
The Bear River may have some ugly modern look to it, but it's not going to function any different.
They both come with the same junky little scope, they both take 10 pumps for an 800fps advertised velovity ( it's nowhere near that with pellets and still comes up short with bb's ) , but the Daisy 880 is only $35.
It's also darn accurate, mine happens to shoot crosman piranha pellets very well.

my interest in the BR 900 is refurbs are only $30 on amazon. reviews of accuracy from the fixed sights and the power seem pretty good.

my mention of the 22lr rifles is purely price point, ive gotten many over the years from 10/22s to savages, crickets and the like. a 22lr can still be bought for $120 give or take.
i just think its absurd to pay more for a pellet rifle than a 22lr but thats just me lol.

im not worried about the cheap scopes that come on air rifles. i have some old bushnells and tascos boxed up somewhere.

id like to thank everyone for their input, like everything in life. each person will have a difference in perspective based on their experiences. this is what i love about forum groups, the spreading of knowledge and experience. im a member of many forms, everything from cars to guns/welding/gardening/cooking.
it really helps to make decisions like this, im not a very decisive person lol.
