Well, got my Liberty back together after Duy drilled out the TP to .217 with a barrel port of .187. Stock setting for the reg but have no idea how much preload on the HS as I've got a adj HS preloader. This is still with the stock valve and poppet. I got 1057 fps with a 14.3 gr CPP and 927 with a 21.14 Barracuda. That's a 4 fpe increase for the cuda with a stock reg setting! It does also have his replacement power wheel which is drilled to .217 also so the barrel is really the only chock point besides the stock poppet valve. I messed up with Duy's valve because I thought it needed to be burnished in so I couldn't get it to seal. If I had a HP tank and could've hit it with 2 or 3K psi it probably would've but it was way to hot to use my compressor so all I had was a floor pump. With the stock power wheel and stock TP and a .187 barrel port along with Duy's valve I only got 30 fps with the CPP pellets also 1/4 turn CCW on the reg. Yuge improvement!

By the way that was just one shot each weight so no shot strings yet. Still need to notch the butt stock so I can use the HS adj.

At about 3000psi regulator setting one of my guns is putting out 54fpe and the other is stuck at 50fpe. Haha! Only 50fpe. I drilled the barrel to 13/64 or .203"
Just because I still want to use pellets. I did creat a bit of a ramp on the barrel port to avoid clipping.

I will be going out to shoot 30grain slugs out to 250 yards...I mean 100 yards because that's all the terrain I have. Im dying to shoot out way beyond 100 yards. Does anybody within 200 miles of Brooklyn, NY have an open place to shoot long distances? I'll bring the slugs and lunch.

How about Prospect Park?  Use some of the ponds to tell where the slugs are dropping.   

Google says I'm sitting at 201 miles from Brooklyn.   Now that is a 4+ hour one way drive, all depending getting out of the NYC area.   Now, small plane, if you can avoid the tree tops, my neighbors roof, and wires, have about 1200' of grass field to land/take off from.    Airports at BGM or Johnson City, 1/2 hour away. 

Honestly, I only have a 100yd range and less ready to go.  I'd have to brush hog my ole 150yd PB range.  It hasn't been cleared in about 5 years, but would only take a few hours.  Alternately, set something up on that "landing" field.  It is 200yd width from road to tree line, and can work some angles in for further.   The angles would add some slight elevation though.

There might be a range in Dutchess or Putnum county.  I seem to remember some air gun events being held around there in the Hudson Valley.   PA has allot of game lands but don't know what the rules are associated with them, or good ones for shooting distance.  That would be more centrally located.

Robert, you will not be able to seal with hand pumps. try again with the compressor. my shoebox sometimes cannot fill it. send those to me ill resurface them and give ya a proper instruction sheet. "dont burnish brass counter sunk valves and poppets. do some dry fires while filling, this helps seat new poppets."

you guys need Billys plenum to fly to 60fpe land. send me a pm, ill make a list and send it to Billy when we have at least 15-20 interests. we are actually trying to see if its do able. when its a go, he will collect your deposits.

Yes Duy, the barrel port is only .203. I might try to feather the barrel port opening to see if that helps. .218 at the outer edge and  leave it .203 at the inner edge. Yes I'm sure if I examine the alignment of everything I will get better power. I'm hoping to get out tomorrow. I'll let you go the 26.1 grain slugs do.

Good morning to all:
It must be said that this Liberty talk is making me doubt the pending (when is stock at Pyramyd) purchase of a Diana Stormrider.
It would b my first PCP.
(Not counting the my self renewing Nova Freedom that is now undergoing it's 3rd regeneration at ATI)

I have a hand pump only.
The Liberty air tube volume is twice that of the Stormrider  (200 vs 100cc)
Can the Liberty pumped by hand without my wishing for a compressor?

It can be hand pumped but it does suk especially if going for a 300bar fill. I ended up getting a scba tank and a shoebox f10 so I didn’t have to hand pump anymore.

Stephen, i bet you its the alignment ports from valve to the transfer port. is this the G3 receiver or the regular receiver thats getting 50fpe? i installed the G3 valve. all your valves tested 53-55 fpe in my gun with the hammer weight. the 30grains going 902fps should be 54fpe. did you do that without hammer weight? tell me if its redundant to use the weight.

also, you can smooth the edges with a carbide ball rotary tool on the ports inside the valve for a couple of fps more.

just buy a compressor, i have the ahor box and 1p1060sp california air tools. the shoe box quiet i van fill it at 12am.

Also,  buy the rifle of your dreams and the air supply made for it. don't let the pump spoil the sport.

I looked up the California Tools 1p1060sp.
Even read the manual
How do you get 3000 psi into the airgun tank with it?

you will need the Shoe Box compressor which is on sale from $1000 to $500 and use the 1p1060sp to feed it air. the shoe box does the 3000-4500psi. i know  its expensive but its worth every penny.
  i tried the lesser expensive Young Heng compressor and it gave out on me. the same saying "buy once, cry once" applies here. i cried twice though.
