Any US importers carrying this gun?

I have mine right at about 3900PSI right now, I put that in it the other day to get an idea how accurate the gauge is on my SCBA tank and it's just as expected, the gauge on the tank is definitely off just like I suspected. The gauge on my fill adapter and the gauge on the gun pretty much match up good.  I'll try 20 shots through it at 3900psi just out of curiosity

That was directed at the posters state of tune. It all depends on one's settings. But he's very close with his settings and whatever he is filling to. Every gun is different. And again, without dealing with this particular regs shortcomings, we'd be able to fill to whatever pressure we wanted to and not worry about the reg doing what its supposed to do. Its up to the end user to tune around the creep and decided whats acceptable to them.

These guys can explain far better whats going on than i ever could.... Point being, you shouldn't have to waste ten shots to get a good ES.

A chunk of black walnut like that cost's a pretty penny for sure but when it's all done it's basically your own creation Stephen, I'm sure it will turn out nice for sure.

I think with Billys plenum with a gauge on it we will know If they creep.

 

I've been very busy but spent time with the plenum yesterday, adding to the port work which I will report on when I'm satisfied that it is reliable.

The regs definitely creep, sometimes up to 500 psi, especially when filling. You can watch the pressure drop to the set point over a few shots and remain fairly consistent, sometimes creeping 100+ when sitting for a bit so I disregard the first few shots.

 Also I have noted changes in the set point just disassembling the gun and reassembling.
That has made it difficult to compare other changes such as porting before and after.
Yesterday I chronoed a few 21.14 Barracuda match at 1400 psi with .060 added to the hammer spring. Averaged 858, with only 1400 psi. Looks promising for my original intent of lowering the set point for an extended shot count.

Next week I'll lean on it a bit for power and call it done.

That's great! Wayne now is the Liberty's balance compared to your Airmax Dominator and was it comfortable to carry when walking in the woods?

While I had a declining string similar to that, not as severe.   Their 10 shot analysis was interesting.   Essentially, the reg was creeping.  Similar to what Billy is reporting with the plenum build: https://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=156494.40

Keep in mind, they just tested straight out of the box.   No tuning, no adjustment to trigger, etc.

I think there is a huge variation on these rifles out of the box. My shot string video was done exactly as you described. Nothing done...just cleaned the barrel. I might be one of the lucky ones!

Step by slow step, 1900/2000psi in the plenum. .080 additional on the hammer spring for a total stack of .140.

Barracuda 21.14 match at 958 for 43 ftlbs. 

out of Eujins, "dang". So, I stacked a 15.89 JSB and the 21.14 Barracuda. No shroud on the barrel. 
I'm not sure how this would relate to a single pellet weighing in at 37.03  but it delivered 771 fps for 48.9 ft lbs. 
Tomorrow I'll up the reg to 2500 but I really feel we are barrel length limited compared to a Gauntlet and might just waste air.

I still like my Airmax better for carrying, as far as accuracy they're both probably neck and neck.  The Liberty needs a longer gun case because it's considerably longer and probably (just guessing) 1/2lb heavier all dressed with scopes.  The scope that I have on the Liberty is the UTG Swat which is a super nice scope and clear but the BSA on my Airmax Dominator is very nice too but if I was going to choose another scope it would be the UTG, especially at the price that I got it.

All in all I have no regrets buying the Liberty and doubt I'll be selling it in the near future, it's got a beautiful stock on it and everything on it screams much more quality than what the $350 price tag is on them.  I doubt I'll ever get another deal on a gun like this for $107.50 shipped like I did.

Wayne, nice comparison of the two AG's and for some reason I thought that the Dominator was heaver.  You are the one that got 90% of us Liberty "Parts-Gun" owners by your first posting that you bought one for $107.00. What I visualized was a bag full of parts and a busted up stock so I was shocked and still surprised that we received a functional AG that was ready to shoot.

I forgot to ask, how do you find the noise level in the woods? I find it a little loud to be back yard friendly for me because my yard is much lower then my neighbors and I get a echo. I have been tinkering with various LDC's, air strippers and baffles to try and quiet it down. So far a 3/8" x 3" spring warped in scotch-brite, in the front cavity, helps a lot.

Bob she's a little on the loud side but not super loud like my Disco, a fellow GTA member offered me a spare set of baffles and an air stripper and I said heck ya, I got a message from him yesterday and they're in the mail right now.  My Airmax Dominator is quieter but I am doing 38fpe with that gun and it has a good working LDC on it as well so hopefully when I put the stripper and baffles(3d printed) it'll quiet it down some.
