Does anyone know if the "05-2018" to the right of the "(300 Bar) is the manufacturing date
Quote from: Wayne52 on March 31, 2019, 10:16:16 PMDoes anyone know if the "05-2018" to the right of the "(300 Bar) is the manufacturing date My first one is dated 12- 2017
RodI really like your stock, how did you strip it down. Did you sand through the finish, or use a chemical stripper? Was the Poly straight, or a blend of alcohol & olive oil mix? Thanks
Well I finally got a Full blown chronograph, it is a Caldwell. The little $28 Chinese one is great for real time measurements but is no substitute for a full featured unit.My first attempt at a shot string Friday night was 60 shots and I never pressed start on the app.This is my next one. It is my 22 Liberty with JSB 18.13s. I am trying to tune for Baracudas but I had many more JSBs on hand so that is what I shot for this string. Ports are opened to almost .180, reg wheel is about 1/2 turn CCW and I have adjustable HST ala Stephen The Banker design, tuned to maybe just below the knee.The pressure drops about 350 psi for every 10 shots. Started about 4200 psi, 3,800 - 2,700 seems to bee the sweet spot. There were 3-4 error shots which I removed so the shot count versus pressure level is not accurate.BTW put a half dozen 'Cudas over it yesterday below 3,800 psi and they were right around 890 fps.As this is my first PCP and my first real shot string, I would welcome anyones comments.ThanksSet: 1 Created: 03/30/19 12:30 PM Description: Liberty JSB 18.13 Notes 1: Notes 2: Distance to Chrono(FT): 3.00 Ballistic Coefficient: 1.000 Bullet Weight(gr): 18.13 Temp: 0 °F BP: 0.00 inHg Altitude: 0.00 # FPS FT-LBS PF 52 894 32.18 16.21 51 900 32.61 16.32 50 907 33.12 16.44 49 915 33.71 16.59 48 914 33.64 16.57 47 915 33.71 16.59 46 924 34.38 16.75 45 929 34.75 16.84 44 933 35.05 16.92 43 939 35.50 17.02 42 932 34.97 16.90 41 934 35.12 16.93 40 936 35.27 16.97 39 946 36.03 17.15 38 945 35.96 17.13 37 957 36.88 17.35 36 954 36.64 17.30 35 952 36.49 17.26 34 965 37.49 17.50 33 965 37.49 17.50 32 960 37.11 17.40 31 958 36.95 17.37 30 964 37.42 17.48 29 957 36.88 17.35 28 971 37.96 17.60 27 961 37.18 17.42 26 969 37.81 17.57 25 969 37.81 17.57 24 962 37.26 17.44 23 977 38.43 17.71 22 968 37.73 17.55 21 977 38.43 17.71 20 967 37.65 17.53 19 963 37.34 17.46 18 967 37.65 17.53 17 963 37.34 17.46 16 964 37.42 17.48 15 960 37.11 17.40 14 970 37.88 17.59 13 962 37.26 17.44 12 963 37.34 17.46 11 965 37.49 17.50 10 947 36.11 17.17 9 947 36.11 17.17 8 950 36.34 17.22 7 941 35.65 17.06 6 939 35.50 17.02 5 938 35.43 17.01 4 933 35.05 16.92 3 941 35.65 17.06 2 924 34.38 16.75 1 914 33.64 16.57 Average: 947.4 FPS SD: 20.9 FPS Min: 894 FPS Max: 977 FPS Spread: 83 FPS Shot/sec: 0.1 True MV: 948 FPS Group Size (in): 0.00
We need to determine if its the reg not liking the fill pressure or your tuned too far below the knee. If you could run a string from 3500 after letting the gun sit for a while it would help.
on my liberty it didnt let 3500psi. at 3500psi i had to dump 10 shots before it gets consistant. ymmv

In my video of the shot string I didn't see that. My gun was not modified at all at the time of the recording, I was really impressed with the consistency for 80 shots. In that video I was using CPHP 14gr
I only fill to 250 bar.
I do think they creep some. If mine sits for awhile the first shot will be 940-950 then settle down to around 925. Should be broke in by now I would think.
If you up the reg a 1/16 of a turn or back the hammer off a smidge it will flatten out.
QuoteIf you up the reg a 1/16 of a turn or back the hammer off a smidge it will flatten out.Does the fill pressure along with the 1/16 turn or back the hammer off effect how much it flattens out ?Unless I'm mistaken the regulator is sensitive to different fill pressures.
