I ran a bore snake through mine, only took 3 passes and didn't have to use any solvent.
Of course I had to remove the barrel but I planned to do that anyway to get a look at what's inside the shroud.

The barrel didn't look all that dirty before the snake and was shiney clean afterwards.

Some barrels are worse than others, mine wasn't that bad either. Be very careful what you use to clean the barrel as the degreaser I used also wanted to take the black anodize off the breech. Might want to test an inconspicuos area first.

I think I’ll need help trying to fix the mags, I’ve been reading but cannot find the specific post. I remember reading something about a screw.

My mags lost the tension, both of them, I hope it’s an easy fix, I know I can buy Gaunlet mags... are those better? I just rotate the mag all the way, to load the first pellet and something weird happened, they look like are missaligned, I can post a picture....

Both of my mags did the same. The down turned end if the spring just comes out of the hole in the back of the mag. You can search YouTube for "how to fix marauder magazines" and see a video that will show you what you need to know.

I made another hole in the back of the mag for the spring to connect into, by heating a straight pin and pushing it through the plastic. The new hole puts a little more tension  into the spring. The Marauder mag comes with 3 holes. On one if mine I clipped off the down turned end, and bent a new, longer end. This new end protruded through the back if the mag, so I ground it flush with a Dremel. The other mag, I bent the wire a little further, like the guy in the vid shows, and put it in the new hole. So far both are working fine, but I haven't used them much.

Watch the video, and what I'm saying will make sense. It's not hard to do, and there are only 5 parts to the mag.

The mag issue is definitely affecting many people. Yes, i’d say the Gauntlet mags are better, and certainly less expensive to buy as spares. I just put a drop of good  adhesive in the hole and put the mag back together. I waited for the glue to dry before winding it up. Haven’t had an issue yet.

You’re gonna love the shot count, even on high power setting.

I have sent back four magazines and currently use marauder mags which work great. The last two replacement mags from ATI  would not even fit the breech.

I agree, Brake Clean works great but keep it away from plastic parts such as triggers guards, stocks, shrouds and plastic magazines.

Some feedback from the tinkering side:

I have a total of 3 shims on the hammer spring and managed to get the leak sorted, final verdict was that I screwed the regulator out to far which caused it to leak. Was a bit of a pain in the @ss getting it to the sweet spot with degassing, unscrewing cylinder, turn reg, screw cylinder back, gas up, copy and repeat a few times.

Final result: Gun is zero'd at 20m (21.8 yards), I want to move it to 30m however I did not have something to aim at in the in between distance, took aim at 50m (54.68 yards), rifle is running at a calculated 845fps with 25.39gr JSB Monster's, 5 shot grouping at 20m forming one hole, at 50m total spread of 5 shots is about half an inch with 3 out of the 5 cutting the same hole and the other slightly to the left (which could also have been the wind or me just being a poor shot). Elevation drop is 1 mildot, which according to Strelok is 5 cm.

Shot-count is estimated at 50 rounds, however I'll have to spend some time on a chrony to actually figure out how the string runs. Either way I'm happy, super rifle, running at above 40 ft/lbs and total build cost me about R10 000.00 (which is $733). And here she is:

Which Discovery scope did you go with? I've been looking at them but unsure which one to get.

It's shooting CPHP 14.3 at 1080 fps and JSB 18.13 Jumbo Heavy's at 1050+.

It seems like even though the JSB's are heavier, they fly pretty darn fast..

However, I haven't shot for accuracy at 50+ yards yet. The CPHP seem to be erratic at this high speed.

I'm probably gonna remove one or two of the factory shims on the hammer spring and turn the regulator down until I get around 920 fps using the JSB 18.13 pellets... Thats what Thebanker4's goal is. 

Are there any tests (maybe wind tunnel) that show what the optimum speed is for different pellets

The factory shims are very thin, and do not believe they are there to add pre-load.  I think their purpose is to prevent the spring from cutting into the plastic stop/guide, as the spring rotates during use.  If you are adding preload shims, they probably should go between the stop/guide and factory shims.

The shims work well, but I reckon to gain enough power to push the 25's at 850 you will have to find a balance between shims and regulator adjustment.

As for the scope, it is the Discovery VT-Z, one of the more entry level models. For the type of shooting I do it's fine, magnification is good (not a true x16 but rather about a x14 or so with the glass quality being on par with scopes double the price), however for more varied distance shooting I would much rather go for a few models higher which is FFP.

Here's my update:  I pumped the rifle to 3,000 psi (couldn't go any further with either of my hand pumps, new pump coming next week), cleaned the bore with Goo-Gone and left it over night.  This morning, pressure gauge showed 3,000 psi so I mounted a spare 3x9-40 scope and took it to the range.  I had a tin of H&N Baracuda Hunter Extreme 19.09 gr, 5.5mm pellets.  Weather was in the mid 60's, wind started off light but then built to 10-15 mph.  25 yards.  I'd guess that I got around 50-60 shots before reaching 2,000 psi when I stopped.  These pellets hit the cardboard target with authority.  A real -smack- compared to shooting with the Disco.  Overall, groups were better and more consistent than my Disco.  Whenever the wind stopped, each round followed the last into a single hole.   Even the range officer was impressed, so I let him send a handful of rounds down range.  Sounded like he's gonna buy one of these, too.

Nice shooting, Stretch! 50-60 shots is really amazing isn’t it? If these guns have any longevity to them, they are going to be the bargain of the PCP world.

I was grinning ear to ear last week when I was able to repeatedly hit a dangling 12 gram CO2 cylinder at 60 yards. My rifle is still stock configuration too.

made an attempt to machine another valve with bigger throat and exhaust. however, my grooving tool broke...i was too impatient... all the profiles are done, and part drops in.  the exhause and groove will be easy.
throat is now .253 compare to stock .217. exhaust will be .250 and barrel port will be oblong .185.

 i plan to run .25 cal later on
i gotta say. i like the valve design on this Liberty. easy to reproduce and mod
