can anyone help me out? i screwed up turning the regulator with a vise grip and damaged one of the pin hole. i turned it down but did not measure the original length.

 i made another one from 416 but it seems too long. can someone measure theirs and let me know? i know its supposed to be longer than 1.415 of an inch...but what exactly?

Attention all Liberty owners!
What 22 cal pellet is your gun shooting best. So far mine shoots baracuda match 5.2 heads best. Going to try the 5.3 when they arrive Thursday.
Please respond cause I am tired of spending money on different pellets. My Liberty shoots all most anything well expect Polly mag shorts. Was disappointed in that because I am setting this gun up for hunting.

John, if you haven't yet try the JSB 15.89 and 18.13's I think you'll like the results.

It held steady over night, so no leaks. 

Once I clean the barrel, JSB's will probably be the first pellets down it.  Then will try some of the H&N's I have.  I actually have to dig back in the stash to see if I have any crosman pellets.

FWIW: My elevation and windage knobs look fine.  Cheek weld seems to be designed around the open sights.  I expect it will need a litle padding once a scope goes on.

T oday was the first time I have put more than a few pellets down the bore. I filled mine t o 4350 and it started off around 780fps with JSB 18s, climbing pretty quickly to 870, and settling to the high 850s for the bulk of the fill. Second fill was to 4000 which helped some, but still had a curve. Anything I can do to help this, or will time, and shots help? I only added 2 thin washers to the hammer spring, would another 1 or 2 help?

Only shot CPs, JSB 15.8s, and JSB 18.1s. The 18.1s seemed to shoot the best.

One of my mags malfunctioned, and basically isn't springloaded at all. Guess I will see if I can fix it.

All I have done is to add two regular washers(thicker that the ones in the gun) turned the brass disk that is between the air tube and shroud half a turn counter clock wise. If you degass it turns easily with a small Allen key. Just stick the short end in a hole and tap lightly. Pull it out and do again about 4 times.
I only fill to 3200 and shoot to 2000.

The behavior you are seen is normal during breaking time, give it some time, shoot at least 200 pellets and then test again.

Scot ,Did not really count. I know it was at least 4 mags,maybe five. Setting mine up for hunting and 10 is about all I really care about so this gun gives way more shoots than I really need but it sure is nice to know they are there if I want them.
I’ve found that between 3200 and 2800 give the highest power and most consistent FPS of the whole fill.
The last time I shoot over the chrony. This is what I got.
3000 psi five shoots. 879, 876, 876, 876, 866. So when I go for a walk to hunt and plink I only fill to around 3000 more or less put in a full mag and a way I go.

Yeah, I turned mine about 1/4 turn CC, and added two thin shims to hammer spring. Since the gun is regulated, I would like to fill to a higher pressure to get more shots. Not necessarily 4350, but I would like to fill to 3700-4000. Hopefully the reg will settle over time.

Quick question for those of you who ordered your Liberty from ATI:  how did they notify you when it shipped?  I ordered mine last Thursday on their website.  My status still shows "processing" but I checked my credit card and they've already processed my payment.  Do they normally send out an email with a tracking number?

Funny you should say that, my first group with CPs was 5 in one hole, and I thought I didn't even need to try other pellets. I was surprised that I was unable to duplicate that group, or even come close.

I was able to fix my magazine. The downturned end if the spring just came out of it's hole. While I had it apart, I made a new hole  by heating a straight pin, and pushing it through the plastic. I put the spring end in it, to increase the tension. Working great so far.

They used to be really good pellets but what you guys are experiencing matches what I've seen for the last few years.  Here's some examples of .177 groups at 25 yards that are spoiled by a flier, all from one shooting session where I was trying to figure out why they acted like they wanted to group:

How about the .22 pellets?  Well back before Christmas I was visiting my uncle and he had a tin from 2013 that I'd given him a few years ago.  I thought it would be interesting to compare them to some more recent tins:

The two newer tins show the sort of thing I've come to expect...they look like they either want to stack into two distinct groups (leftmost group) or give an errant shot that would be tempting to call a flier (the second group).  But look at our old pellets from 2013, a nice MoA group.  I added the JSB group as a control.

They just don't make them like they used to.
