Do you by any chance have some history with the H&N Piledriver? I see there are very mixed reviews on youtube, specifically regarding quality control.

No, sorry.  Like you, I've read a lot of reviews on the Piledrivers and I haven't been motivated to pay a premium for pellets that are likely to perform poorly.  The .22 are almost ten cents each ($13.50 for 150ct) on Pyramyd and the customer rating is worse than Daisy's pointed pellets.  Enough said.

If you get one as nice as mine John I think you'll like it. Their not to pellet picky and will shoot ok groups with several pellets. Mine does best with JSB 15.89's 18.13's and H&N barracuda match 21.13 5.53 head size. 15.89's are one hole or 1/4" ctc but open up more than the 18's do past 35 yards. Have not had an opportunity to shoot past 57 yards yet as that's the limit in my back yard.

Now that entry level pcp is a reality, we need to have something similar happening with the scopes

I don’t know if you guys have the same conflict. Let me explain, this gun is a good shooter, so it deserves a decent scope, but then you will ended up paying same if not more for the scope this rifle deserves.

Now that entry level pcp is a reality, we need to have something similar happening with the scopes 

The Vortex Crossfire II's are pretty reasonable, just over $100 to under $200 if you shop around.  Same lifetime no questions asked warranty as their other scopes.  I just bought one and it's the first time I've bought a budget scope for target shooting.  Couldn't see myself spending $600 on a scope for a $300 rifle.

I have a thousand rounds plus through my 22 and have had no problems with the bolt orings. Glad to see someone address improving efficiency as well as power. I only added 2 small shims to mine and am averaging 875 fps with 18.1 JSB's which is about perfect for me with 30 FPE. The side cocking lever could probably handle a stiffer spring. Good idea.

How many shots per fill are you getting? I haven't filled my gun above 3500 psi and usually just shoot 3 mags. Before I added the shims I shot 5 mags. Haven't concentrated on how many shots I can get because I am reluctant to fill the gun to it's maximum rated fill rate of 4350 psi or 300 bar. Since we can't get parts yet for these guns I have been trying not to overly stress the orings.

Decided to fill to 3900 and see how many shots I could get before it came off the reg. I shot 6 mags before fps dropped to 861. Had trouble getting chrony to read on those groups as it was getting late but the gun has been averaging 875 fps with 18.1 JSB's. I'll post some more groups later. By the way, 59 of those shots were inside of a 1in. circle at 35 yds. and the first one was off as it usually is because it shoots higher than the others. I forgot to "burn" that shot in the dirt. I'm like Steven. I love this gun.

Have you chronied it yet? Mine came stock shooting in the mid 700s with 18.1s. I put 2 thin shims, washers smaller than 6mm that I enlarged the hole, and turned the reg adjuster from 12 oclock to around 8 oclock. Now 850ffps with 18.1.

Yes but I only have the cheap clamp on chrony, it was shooting CPHP around 860 fps. I didn’t chrony the 90 shots but it was on high power and the last time I shot it was when I chronied it.

I hope you get to buy a better chrony. It's one of the needed things if you tune it.

I want a 12v compressor. I tried pumping this thing to 4k psi. That was no fun. Although refilling with a pump was not bad from 2400psi to 3800psi, only took 125+ pumps. My Young Heng is not so portable.

Also, did some porting of the valve. Going to chrony it tonight with max setting and see if it can hit a bit harder. After pix and before pic.
