Umm, Ok, did you mean that if it maxes out at 950, to adjust down to .97 x 950 = 920
right now the regulator has one half turn (180 deg.) counterclockwise on it The hammer spring has been shimmed by 0.1 inch.should I adjust the regulator ? increase ? decrease ?should I add more shims to the hammer spring ?
I would imagine that I should (like you said) set the regulator adjuster and then add shims to the hammer spring until the FPS maxes out, and then remove hammer shims until I get 0.97% of max velocity.
At that point, if I dont get the velocity I'm after, adjust the regulator again, and then add/delete hammer shims until max, then remove to 975. A very iterative process.
I think first I'll adjust the barrel port, then go from there.
Thank you! Still not sure I fully understand what I need to do... Maybe it will make more sense once I have it opened up. Thanks again for the link!
Jason,Thank You for the tuning tutorial, I have been wondering what my next steps should be and now I have a direction. Greatly appreciated.

Greatly appreciated.Hey Superchikn - what 6-24 x 50 scope are you using on your Nova Liberty ? I've got a 6-24 x 50 CVLife scope on my .22 gauntlet from amazon ($38) and I love them. I recently bought a discovery vt-z 6-24 x 44 and I'm on the fence whether I like it or not.cheers
Sorry but I've been obsessed with the thumb hole stock. Almost done just have to finish the wood with Tru-Oil. Video will follow if you want to make one.

Thanks again for the link! What size length are the ball tipped set screws? Any pics? Where did you buy them ? Would like to order some. Good mod idea👍🏾😎What size length are the ball tip set screws? Any pics of them ? Where did you get themPaul I replaced all three of my trigger screws with the ball bearing tipped ones shown in the pic. As they are longer and are set screws they allow more travel (adjustment). The ball bearing tip should also be an improvement over a rounded screw. Three screws are not required as one one at the rear of the trigger marked 4 and shown at position 1 in the schematic, is a dust cap. The trigger needs to be removed to access the hex recess in the dust cap and unscrew it. At this point you can either replace it with a longer screw or you may be able to swap it with the # 2 screw (if it is long enough). I installed the longer set screws in position 1 and 2 so I could experiment. So far I have not figured out if I can use both for a two stage trigger. The #3 screw at the front of the trigger needs to be replaced to adjust the trigger position unless you have large hands. I adjust the #3 screw to position the trigger to a comfortable position and then turn the screw at #1 position until I can no longer cock the gun then back it off just enough to cock reliably.I put a lighter spring under the trigger but it did not make a great difference.

This is the nsa 15.5 slug removed from chamber on my .177.. Maybe the barrel is to tight for them... The flattened nose is from removal...
