Stephen- It sounds like your gun is shooting pretty well out of the box. My gun had similar results to yours my first outing. I知 glad it likes the Nielsen specialty ammo. Do the barracuda fit tight in the bore? The reason I知 asking is the baracuda hunters I had were really tight in the bore. The gun loves them and would stack pellets at 30yds with them.
Stephan, Thanks for info.I am really interested in grouping JSB Monster REDESIGNED at 50+ yd. Probably they will need a little bit more power 960FPS so the inspection/enlarging of transfer ports can help too .

The 18grain JSB Heavies didn't shoot so we'll. I think they are going too fast at 980-1010 fps.
Just a thought , maybe the barrel bands are pulling the shroud and barrel down when tightening.. Possible bedding the pillars might help..

Peter, I'm sorry to say that I did not have a good time with the JSB Monster REDESIGNED. at 50 yards it was ok but at 75 yards all *(&^ broke loose. The group opened up too much to talk about. I have it on video. I will post the video ASAP. I just have to tear down the gun and edit the video so you can see for your self
Finished the barrel bracket. Fits like a glove, no detectable deflection. Barrel is aligned correctly with receiver/dovetail. It will be interesting how much the point of impact will change without the barrel deflected down.

I have to change all my PCPs to free floating barrel to reach best accuracy and you are doing certain opposite. My problem was that POI was changing in according air pressure at air tube. Therefore I deallocated all bands from barrel to act only as bumper whit some gap between the barrel and band. At some gun I only have to fixed barrel itself into the breech more stiffen.Did you make inspection how is the barrel fixed into the breech ? There is no too big gap between the barrel and breech ?How thick and long is the barrel ? [/quote Removing the bracket will full float the barrel at a sustantial change in rigidity. Next week will tell as removing the barrel band is very simple and quick. It is my intent to check both ways. as it was, the barrel was having to bend down .070 inch.
OK let us know grouping at 50+ yd by changing the pressure from 300bar to 130 bar.Thank before

The barrel is secured by three grub screws, pretty secure. Do not have my notes handy, but it's a relatively flexible, skinny barrel, around 11mm.
