There iare pics earlier in the thread. I removed mine and shimmed with additional washers. I degassed completely dry fired twice to make sure there was no air remaining. I then removed the stock and knocked out the pin that holds the spring in place. Hammer spring popped out and I added 2 washers with lithium grease and reassembled. It’s that easy. Takes less than 5min.

you do not have to degas the gun to shim the hammer spring. my hammer spring has so little preload that I had to pull cocking lever partway open to pop out the spring block.

I had the stock off last night and the trigger opened up to see what is going on in there and was wondering if I could pop out the HS.  I really want to see what I can do to make the HS externally adjustable.  I have some ideas from what I saw in the earlier photo.

My trigger is quite heavy with a single stage and screws came turned all the way in.  I will pick up some metric set screws tonight and also open the trigger pack up a little deeper.  Definitely need some side shims on the trigger blade. 

Put 25 or so through it last night when I got home.  cold and dark but it looks like when I lighten up the trigger it should group well.  Trigger is too stiff right now.

Sorry,  didn't take any, didn't go in that deep yet.  Got the blade out and replaced that spring. Did not do much.  Pulled out the next piece (a sear of some sort I guess) and its spring and went no further due to time.  So far easier to get to than some others I have been in.

Have those of you that have taken your stock off notice that it changes the POI and you have to re-sight in your scope?
When I took my stock off to add some washer,2, on the hammer spring this is what I noticed. It was enough that I though I would have to shim my scope because I ran out of the vertical adjustment on my scope. But instead I loosened the front screw next to the degas enough to avoid shimming the scope. That means that every time remove my stock I'll have to tinker around with scope adjustment. That's hokey.
Not too keen on this idea on how the stock is secured to gun.
I also notice that one of the screws,wood screw, that holds the trigger guard no longer holds. The hole in the stock was made too large or it was put in too tight and stripped the wood.

Matt- Good observation but I haven’t noticed that so far. My stock has been off about 5 or 6 times. Only time my poi changed was upon the shimming the hammer spring. That being said my scope needed the elevation adjustment from the very beginning.

Frankie: I'm going to have to do some kind of mod that prevents this from happening on mine.
Another strange thing that happened was that it was even effecting the trigger and safety. I could not pull the lever back to load a pellet until I had it on safe!
Something just ain't right here.
That problem went away after I loosen that front most screw to take the stock off. Something is really wacky here. So I gave up and will look at it another day when I'm having a better day.

Hello Everyone, I received my NOVA VISTA LIBERTY in .22 on Yesterday. I got the Synthetic version. Anyway, I took this gun apart to see if I could generate more power as I always like to do. I could not figure out how to get the regulator out of the receiver. It appears to me that the reg is quite different on this gun. It's in the receiver not the tube. Making adjustments is done by turning the brass wheel on an aluminum block between the air tube and receiver. I could not figure out how to free the regulator from the receiver block. so I turned the brass wheel a half turn counterclockwise wise and added two .05 washers to shim the hammer spring. Here is what I got shooting various pellets over the chrony.

18.13 JSB .22 1018, 1023 & 1028 fps / 21.14 H&N Barracuda .22 943, 935 & 941 fps / 25.39 JSB Jumbo Monster .22 867, 872 & 875 fps / 28.5 Eunjin .22 808, 810 & 811 fps

That's around 42 FPE on average.

I didn't even drill out the barrel port or transfer & valve ports. No need with two simple adjustments this gun is shooting very hard. It also appears to be using a bit too much air the way I have it set now. I will try to figure out if I can keep the power the same while using a little less air.

Stephen= Wow those are some sizzling numbers! Wondering what your groups were like at that speed? I think there is a lot of potential in these guns. I saw your videos on your kral jumbo. Great work on that rifle! The finish you put on your stock makes me want one. PA had a sale on the krals, but not that model? I'm sure we will all be waiting for your video on the nova.

I am really interested in grouping JSB Monster REDESIGNED at  50+ yd. Probably they will need a little bit more power 960FPS so the inspection/enlarging  of transfer ports  can help too .

Stephen- Definitely on too something I suspected that my gun is shooting close or higher than the velocity’s you have stated. I have just been unable to get chrony reading bc of weather and work. My goal is around the velocity you have your gun  now. I’d like to shoot the jsb 25gr around 920-940. I believe that to be the sweet spot for those pellets. If I can’t get there I’ll adjust to shoot 18.13’s at about 960. I’ve seen great results at that speed out of another gun. Will have to see the velocity this barrel likes.

Very encouraging Stephen, this can be a great lite weight hunting rifle duplicating your results. I have been traveling constantly the last two weeks so have not had a chance to shoot my .22 very much, and it is supposed to rain three inches over the coming weekend...   My baffles should arrive tomorrow so at least I can work with them over the rainy weekend.

Those who have taken their stocks off how snug/tight are you putting the screws back on?
I noticed on mine they were just on the low end of being snug. After I reassembled I tightened on the low end of tight and this is when I notice my scope had to be sighted back in. POI was off by quite a bit to the point I though I had to shim the back of the scope. Plus the cocking lever would not cock to load a pellet until I put it on safe. Now that was VERY ODD!
I did go back and put the screws as close to what they were originally and now it's back to "normal" so to speak.

Just a thought , maybe the barrel bands are pulling the shroud and barrel down when tightening.. Possible bedding the pillars might help..

Ray= That's probably the culprit. I pillar bedded all my PB rifles but i didn't think it was necessary with my pcp's. This rifle might be the exception!

On my gun, the barrel/airtube diverge by over .070. I'm almost done making almost press fit shroud bushings to locate the sleeve. The barrel is true to the receiver so I'm making a bracket for the airtube that will align the barrel/airtube without bending the barrel. It must be common, I see several people noting extreme elevation correction.

No matter how much R&D any company does it always fall into the hands of the consumer to find the bugs! Companies want to recoup their investment as soon as possible. The only way they know of a problem is customer complaints. So if there are enough of us with this problem we should inform ATI.

I just got back from the range with the Nova Liberty. In short this gun loves H&N barracuda match 5.53 head at 50 and 75 yards. .7 inch 5 shot at 50 years and a little more at 75 yards. but it was very windy. 13 mph winds 16 gusts according to weather.com this gun also loves the Neilsen seciality ammo 23 grain and 28 grain boat tail at 75 yards? The groups could have been much better if not for the wind and cold.

The Nova Liberty did well with the JSB Jumbo Monster 25.39grains at 50 yards but I shot 2 10 shot groups at 75 yards and the groups opened up way too much. Not sure what happened. Maybe wind maybe my gun is not shooting them fast enough.

But overall this gun rocks! Feels great to shoot.
