I would like to see the expression on the face of the guy at pyramyd air tomorrow who looks at the computer & sees the orders for about 15 crosman baffle kits. That should make them wonder?

Don’t forget, these baffles are available through Crosman too.

I tried finding them and couldn't.
Even did a search on the part# and it didn't show up.

Download the Part Diagram from Crosman's website and call the parts department with the part number (Trail Baffle: NP214-001).  They should be able to help you out.

Just looked again, coming today.  I don't even have a pump yet.

Well now my pump is here too.  At work...  Just another five hours.  UGGGH. 

As I mentioned elsewhere so far I am filling from an Argon tank to 140 bar at most since I had no pump all weekend.  the gauge just registers in the green.  Should I expect to see groups that low or not?  I have cleaned the barrel but what I have shot so far are not looking to good so far.

I'm hoping my pressure is just too low!  Any thoughts?

Ray,
You are right at the set point for your reg at 140. So 1 or 2 shots and you're off reg. You really need to get 2500psi or more into the tube to start getting repeatable results.

My advice is to spend the extra $200 or so and get a no-name eBay compressor. I've beaten the snot out of mine for five months without issue. Just remember to change the oil when it starts to get dark. I use 0w-20 synthetic in mine with no issues. Starts in my garage when it's below freezing.

Download the Part Diagram from Crosman's website and call the parts department with the part number (Trail Baffle: NP214-001).  They should be able to help you out.

Great then you can ask the next stupid question. 

I had a 3-9 x 40 Chinese scope I hung on mine.  It will do for a short while but not real long.   This all happened faster than I planned.  I knew I was getting a PCP this winter but had not decided on anything yet. 

What scope did you put on yours?

Just wondering as i was putting the gun box away why this company doesn't advertise some of their best features? I've looked at different web sites & even the box & manual. Nowhere do they mention the 300 bar cylinder or the regulator? You would think the company would want to brag about those features! Also they tell you not to fire the gun with the hi/low switch in the middle? I have hi/low switches on a couple of my other guns & i often wondered what happens. Do you blow out o'rings or does the pellet just get stuck in the barrel? Just curious.

Honestly I suspect American Tactical as a firearm firm did not realize just what the Nova's represent in the price point feature set arena.  To the non airgun crowd the pump replenishing model would seem to be something and what they focused on.  Little did they know this feature set at this price point is as significant as the Marauder was in its day.  When I spoke with Jennifer its clear its a surprise to them and why.

It's unfortunate Crosman could not have done this with the Fortitude given they set the standard with the Marauder.

I hope the new owners at crosman read this forum & take notice! If you don't keep up with the pack you get left behind. I live where Kodak is located. They thought digital cameras were just a phase & by time they got into the game it was too late. I like my marauder & prod but at least make these models with sidelevers.

If the quality and customer service make it hand and hand with the ATI NOVA Freedom and Liberty it will send shock-waves to the PCP manufactures.
I for one would like them to succeed not just because I own the Liberty but it does force others to lead or follow the new benchmark.

Agree 100% Matt= Growing up i had a choice between  3 vehicles. Chevy, Ford or Dodge. They all had their own quality control issues but that all you had to chose from. When all the foreign imports started flooding our shores it forced the big three to up their game, and they have. I'm hoping the same happens in the airgun industry.

I had a few minutes before work today to shoot the liberty for the first time, the sun was shining and there was no breeze to affect the shots or push the groups, it was almost too good to be true. I did a rough zero at 20 yards to get things on track and then a final zero at 35 yards as that was the distance I had my target board at the last time I shot my Marauder. I had one un-used shoot-n-see dot left on the board from my last session, but that was all I needed. Got my zero set on a previously used target and then tried my hand on the un-used dot. All I can say is wow, just wow, man is this thing accurate! I had loaded the mag up with JSB 18.1's as the first pellet I wanted to try, and at the end of the first mag I had a hole that was maybe 1/4" center to center on that 1/2" dot. The only thing that was disappointing was the trigger pull, and I worked on fixing that tonight. I don't own a trigger pull gauge but I know what I like and I'm happy with the weight and how brakes now, and my safety works as it should. As good as the trigger is on my Marauder I honestly wish it broke as cleanly as this one does. As noted above, if the customer service and parts support are good through these two companies they have really raised the bar for their competitors.

While Crosman makes many great products for the enthusiasts I would guess the vast majority of profit is garnerd through big box sales on products untouched by US employee's, just straight from China plant into a english labled box to the Walmart.  How many of the inovators are still there from the Discovery/Marauder/1701P/Challenger and how much sway they have.

I got a chance to shoot a little today and tried some more pellets.  I was pleasantly shocked at how well the Benjamin Hollow Points shot out of it at high power.  It was shooting ¼" groups at 35 yards!  I'm thrilled because these pellets come 750 to a tin and are typically less than $10 a tin.  Cheap and accurate, just what I like in a pellet!

 I do not have or have shot an FX gun , but It might be a better head to head comparison than the Marauder, and I thought my Marauder was a pretty sweet air rifle in its price range
