Mike- i slugged my .22 barrel with a jsb 18gr. With a .555 skirt it went down to .535. I then did my marauder barrel. With another .555 skirt it went down to .545.Also these barrels have a nice recessed crown on them.

Matt- Everyone has their favorite concoctions. I clean with Kroil first to soften everything up, then i use Shooters Choice Lead Remover. I also use JB paste occasionally. I like that you can go longer between cleanings with AG as opposed to my PB's. So far no ill effects on my barrels that have o-rings in them.

GADS if it's going to be that dirty I think I'll send it out to have it professionally cleaned

Maybe they thought the guns would be sitting on the shelf for a few years. Little did they know! Since i only have .177 wadcutters on hand i think i will order more pellets. Any recommendations on what's shooting good in the .177 liberty?I see JSB has got some redesigned heavies.

The 10.3gr group well in almost every rifle I pick up.  So give the new Monsters a try if you want to experiment with a super heavy but the 10.3 is the nearest to a sure thing as there is.

YES JSB Exact Heavy 4,52 should  to work OK.  If no you need to check/correct/polish   barrel crown/port

I'm doing my shopping now or trying to decide if I should use one that's sitting on the shelf. UTG 3x9 40 AO or HAWK 3x9 40 AO Vantage.
Want to get the most out of this one since it has a lot of good reads and potential.

Thank's All- I will be getting some 10.3 gr's. Anyone shoot the jsb 13.43 gr or are they made for a special twist barrel? I picked up a bushnell trophy 6x18x50 sf earlier this year thats looking for a home. I like my marauder but i'm really hooked now on side lever actions & sf scopes! Just feels more natural to me.

The .22 looks promising with a quick chrony.  Stock reminds me of the Marauder, swollen pulp wood with the alloy air tube offsetting the worst of it making handling acceptable.  .

What grain pellet are you using? Mine shoots about 18fpe on low and 30fpe on high

It has a light thin wall feel too it, not like heavy wall aluminum.  I'm pulling more swabs through than the SPA's so its taking a bit for Ballistol to do its dirty work.  It's reasonably quiet despite just an expansion area surrounding the barrel, for perhaps the last 1/4 of the shroud.  Nova IMHO seem to be spending the money on the important things, the stock and plastics are more of the budget side of things but certainly serviceable.

I'm getting 25 & 15 ftlbs with 14.3 Crosmans (my cheap baseline for chrony).  5ftlbs is significant but I would be willing to bet simple normal manufacturing variance and tune (Sounds like you got a hot one, this one is at 900 fps on the box and it meets that with lead).   I'm fine with it but when more advanced folk experiment with the output preasure I'll be messing with it I suspect.

I have a UTG 3-12X44 that was on my DAR177 that will be mounted on the Liberty when it arrives.

I have and use both UTG & Hawke but find that the Hawke glass is clearer. Notice it more in lower light conditions such as in my basement.
Hawke has stood up better on my springers. Not that this will be a problem on the Liberty.

I'm still trying to figure out why these guns are so quiet? My outlaw has basically  the same set up but it was so much louder that i had to get a moderator on it quick or wear ear plugs. The liberty has a solid collar with 2 o- rings about 4 in. from the muzzle that centers the shroud. I wonder if moving the position of that collar would affect the sound? When i get my end cap back it might be worth a try.

Lighter, less expensive, and quieter were top on my list when I was looking. I was VERY CLOSE to getting the Outlaw until the Liberty came along. Had it gone on sale I was going to go for it. Hoping I made the right choice. My only concern will be reliability, service after the sale if that becomes an issue.

They are introducing a bill that will require you to show your browsing history on facebook, twitter,etc before you can purchase a firearm. Can these stupid gun laws get any crazier? Might be time to pack my bags!

I had a detail insight written up for you about other from NY and people from away moving to Southern Maine and how it's changing Southern Maine and the ripple effect on people who have lived here all there lives. But after I hit "POST" I was logged off. I think my "on line" time ran out or somebody didn't like my comments 

Not surprised about Facebook revelations because some employers want to know if their potential employees have these accounts.
Military is one for sure and there are limits being put on social networking accounts depending on what theater you are assigned to.
