Looks like both calibers favor the heavy weights. I shot all my 18 gr jsb's in my wildcat. Time to place an order with treniers. If american tactical has a sale this week i am going to pick up a.177.

Yeah my gun favors the 18.13gr at extended distances. What is surprising though is it shoots baracuda hunters hp  very well as well out to 30yds. The rifle doesn’t seem to be that pellet picky at all. Also I still haven’t cleaned my barrel I’m scared to at this point bc it’s shooting so well.

Frankie- Get ready for a work out when you do clean it.  It took me a while to clean my SPA rifles but  my liberty was twice as long! That preservative they use is almost like a tar consistence.

Time for a couple of corrections:

I decided to take part of the rifle apart today.

First correction: That cylinder that hangs down IS NOT the regulator. It's hollow. I'm assuming it's the "Main Plenum" chamber. It is positioned just in front of the poppet valve. After fully degassing the rifle, I still got a high pressure burst of air out of it when I loosened it.

Correction two: What I assumed was the relief for the burst disk, apparently IS NOT. I'm now of the thought that it's the atmospheric vent for the regulator. Again , this is only a guess.

I'm trying to work up the nerve to pull the rifle all the way down. I think you guys can understand my conflict. I soooooo badly want to find out how this baby works, so I can Hot Rod her a bit, but I'm weighing that against mucking up a really great shooting rifle. Grrrrrrrrrrr. My wife is right. I simply cannot leave well enough alone....

Peter- Sorry but i don't have a camera or smartphone. But i did find 3- 18 gr pellets left in a tin & sludged one down the barrel. What is it you want to know?

Mike - Thank's for jumping in the deep end!! We are all in the same boat. All of our rifles are very accurate & we don't want to lose that. I watched the video again & after he degassed his rifle he unscrewed the plenum but no extra air came out. I wonder why yours did? I think your right about the vent for the reg. You say you loosened the plenum screw. Did you get to the reg?

Haven't gotten to the reg. Pretty sure it's gotta be in the air tube. May try it tomorrow, after just a touch of "Irish Courage".

I think had I pulled the trigger once it would have cleared the plenum. The degassing screw seems to only empty the tube, as it looks like it connects to the high pressure side.

I'll let everyone know what I find tomorrow.

Sorry folks. I just can't bring myself to take this rifle apart any further. It just shoots too darn well. Eventually I will find a way to adjust the regulator, but I'm gonna wait for a braver soul than I to figure it out.

I did shorten my shroud 2" so it's even with the air tube. I think it just looks better that way. I also inprovised  a baffel system with the parts I had on hand. Even with the shortended shroud, after drilling holes in the barrel locator, and adding three modified baffles out of a spare ldc I had, the rifle is now extremely quiet.

The only thing I'm thinking about doing is drilling a few small holes on  the receiver side of the shroud, facing down, to see if that quiets it down even more. But it's so quiet now that I might just leave it be.

Mike I completely understand. I mean it says a lot that many of us have confirmed excellent groups so far. Seems that all of our guns are shooting so well that we are hesitant to tinker!! May not be a bad thing!!

I'll try to post some pics this week. Also found out that the fill probe for the Gamo Urban also works for this rifle, for what it's worth.

This is by far the most accurate, well made "cheap" pcp I've owned. Puts my BSA barrelled Urban to shame. Just wish I  could tune this to shoot 20+ grain ammo at 900+ fps.

I was really hesitant to buy this after all the @*#$&  I went thru with my .22 DAR. , But it's turned out to be the best purchase I've made. This rifle just blows me away!

I'm waiting for Black Friday as well (just got confirmation that my DAR return has been processed). Does anyone have anything bad to say about this AG?  Right now I'm waffling between this and the Outlaw (with extra $ involved sales may determine which one I end up with).

I have both rifles in .22 & you can't go wrong with either one. The Liberty will save you $200.00. Both are side lever & regulated. The Liberty reg is more consistent. The first shot from my outlaw always throws the pellet about 2in before it settles down. Must be reg creep! The pellets for the outlaw have to be seated with something like a pencil or stick. I use a small allen wrench. If you have long fingernails that might work? Liberty also comes with 2 marauder style mags & a Hi/Low knob. Only problem with the Liberty right now is the lack of info about disassembly.From what i've read  Nova Vista is a new company into the pcp world so it will probably take time for info to trickle down to us. If they have a black friday sale i am picking up another one in .177 so yea you could say i like this rifle!!

If you're on the fence about buying this rifle, all I can say is that even tho I can't get a parts brake-down I just sold my Urban and Outlaw. This rifle is an incredible buy, loaded with what I consider "High End" features, and is incredibly accurate.

Is the fit and finish that great? If I'm being honest, not really. But I use my rifles for pesting/hunting. It's not a big deal to re-finish the stock.

My only wish is they eventually offer it in a .25. I'd jump on that so fast it'd make your head spin.

So far my tally is three Trash Pandas ( that's what we call raccoons around here). The longest shot was down hill from my barn window. JSB 16g.Head shot, critter gone. Measured the distance with a laser this morning. 67yards. I LOVE this rifle!

If the price comes do come down for Black Friday, I'll buy another with the proceeds from the two rifles I just sold. That's the one I'll do a complete tear down on, and save it for spare parts if need be.

Nice shooting Mike! Looks like your thinning out the herd. I slugged my Liberty with a jsb 18 gr with a .555 skirt. It came out at .535- Then i found another jsb 18 gr with a .555 shirt & ran it down my marauder. This one came out at .545. Definitely a tighter barrel in the Liberty.

Looks like I made a good choice for my first PCP.

Greg- If your fix doesn't hold up i would call american tactical & i am sure they would send you a couple of new mags under warranty.
