Can any of you new owners report an actual weight for this rifle?

I was having an issue with one of my mags. The spring kept popping loose when i would rotate the cover. Pulled it apart and stretched the spring and that stopped it from popping out of the magazine base. Got some more shots with it today. I find it to be very backyard friendly. Certainly quieter than my Trail NP2 or the Hammerli 850.

I'm betting a Umarex Gauntlet mag would work in these, they are cheaper than the Marauder mags, but all 3 appear to be the exact same design, just differing by a few mm's in thickness..  Also, YouTube has some good videos on tweaking the Marauder mags to prevent what happened to you from happening again.

I was thinking the same thing about those other mags. They certainly appear to be the same, but I’d rather wait to see if someone else who owns both rifles can verify correct functionality before I buy. 2 mags is plenty for my uses if they are both working. Thanks for the YT tip, I will check that out. I know that Hajimoto guy is like a guru on the Gauntlet rifles and I recall watching one video where he was tweaking the mags.

Mark- The manual states both the wood & synthetic models as 3kg-which is about 6 1/2 lbs. Nice and light.

I think you’re asking if they have a metal trigger blade?If that was the question then they do have a metal trigger blade. The trigger break is very crisp. I haven’t adjusted mine but it breaks at about 3 1/2 pounds. You are supposedly able to adjust them down to 1lbs I believe. Not sure on the internals.

This is definitely on my short list also, even if after the first of the year I have to cash out a few vacation days to cover it. Was glad to read that a change in the screw length on one screw would allow further lightening of the trigger pull.

Going to try and stretch the accuracy out a little more tomorrow. I’ll bring my chrony out and try to get some numbers. My main intention is to hunt but I will try and get some more data on the gun as far as velocities and accuracy goes. I will give trigger adjustments a try tonight if time permits.

Hey guys I adjusted my trigger. Took the trigger Screw (b) in the manual and rotated about 3 turns counter clockwise and it was too light for my liking. I gave it another turn clock wise and it’s probably still under 2lbs but that’s as far as I feel comfortable and my safety still works. I did adjust the trigger screw (A) as well about 1 turn to give a little more first stage travel but left the second stage screw alone.

That's strange. It looks like there must be something missing in my trigger! My rifle came with that screw (b) almost half way out. I can take that screw out completely & it makes no difference. If i turn it in cw the pull goes up to 5 lbs but turning it ccw  all the way only brings it to 3 1/2 lbs. Your trigger adj is acting the way it should! I knew when i took that screw (b) out completely & the trigger still functioned  that wasn't right. That's when i had to adj screw (c) to lighten it. O well at least we both have our triggers where we want them. Did you get to shoot any groups at 50 yds

No Pat. I’m going bushy tail hunting in the morning on my family farm. Afterwards I plan on getting the chrony out and shooting some longer ranged groups. Strange about your trigger. My trigger screw that adjust the weight was cranked all the way tight. I just back it out a few turns and I had a very light trigger. I barely bumped the sucker and it fired so I turned it back in a turn and left it. I would say it adjusted down to well below a 1lb. I was waiting to hit the second stage wall but it went clean through it and fired off. My gun is fairly quiet I suspect it’s not shooting the 18gr jsb’s at 890 like the air hunters video. If it’s not I’m wondering how to adjust the reg to more pressure to get the FPS up. Ideally I’d like to push 18gr pellets in the 940’s but I’m not sure if that’s possible on this reg or any for that matter. I’m hoping someone who is adept in the art of tinkering will figure out soon. I just don’t want to jack anything up and have to send it to someone to fix.

Yea Frankie i know what you mean. It's hard to be patient when you have a new toy & want to know more about it. When i took the screws out of the 2 piece forearm i was trying to pry the halves apart. Now i just give it a sharp rap on the bottom of the forearm & it splits like a nut. I also saw that the muzzle on the barrel is countersunk! Nice touch. You are probably going to have to turn up the hammer spring tension to get the fps your looking for, once we figure out how to get at it?

I finally got out to my friend’s range today and this rifle surpassed all my expectations. I had the chrony about 5 ft from the muzzle and here are some of the numbers I got.

Temp: 72 F
Barometer: 29.90

Reg on High setting.

JSB Jumbo Exact 15.9 gr.

I shot a string with the JSB on Low setting and forgot to set it up as a group, but here is a 10 shot string.

I also used the single shot tray and was getting very consistent readings right around 900fps with Predator PolyMags. I shot those until the reg really began to fall off to around 850 and though I forgot to count, I can say it was at least 20 or more shots. Plenty of High reg setting capacity for a good day of hunting.

I was not shooting for groups today. My friend has a couple of rows of strung up cans at 30 and 60 yds. (Measured with laser) I was able to consistently nail the 30 yard cans with the open sights. I haven’t mounted a scope yet, but was able to tag a few cans at 60 with a touch of hold over.

All in all, I was very impressed and it is very apparent that they used realistic pellet weights to spec the muzzle velocity on High and Low settings.

One other thing, the shroud on this rifle may not have any internal baffles, but it’s definitely taming the noise. I shot one shot with the end cap unscrewed and it was very loud.

Final note: I did top off the reservoir between groups, then I shot the Polymags off a full fill until the reg fell off.

Being my first PCP, I have nothing to compare to, but there was a silly grin on my face for most of the afternoon from the performance I saw.

I never looked at the manual really until today and I’m glad I did. The rifle has a 1yr warranty on the rifle through American tactical. Always nice to have that for sure.

So I'm curious if anyone's played around with trying to get more power out this little gem. If it's possible to get 1100-1200 FPS with .22 14.3gr pellets, I just might make this my first PCP.

That way I can load up on some heavy (25gr+) pellets to drop FPS to accurate levels and max out FPE.

This is my first PCP and I’d be interested in trading shot count for a bit more energy myself. I just hope the parts are high quality enough to last for awhile.

Looks like positive feedback is starting to trickle in. According to that video the reg is adjustable but i  think someone is going to have to remove that pin that holds the HS cover & crank it up. I like the lower velocities so it's fine for me as is. I'm sure there is a ton of untapped potential in this gun! Just has to get in some hot rodders hands.

Well guys had a semi successful day with a couple of hiccups. I was able to get my first kill and shoot a 50yd group from a prone position. I switched back to jsb 18.13’s at 50yds bc my H&N baracuda hunter hp were opening up to about the size of a quarter. I brought my chrony but the battery was dead😩. Go figure!!So no chrony data right now guys. I’m positive this gun will shoot lights out. I had a terrible rest and it just kept throwing the pellets in there. The group could be covered by a dime. Btw after adjusting my trigger it feels really nice.
