I got it!!!! FINALLY. After dillon said it was 2 pieces i took another look. So the forearm is 2 halves held by the front swivel stud & 2 allen screws on the side of stock. When i spread them apart it felt like i was going to break some tabs but i got both sides off without anything breaking. Did i mention i hate taking plastic apart!! Anyway right in front of the trigger guard there is a rectangular cut out with a circle in the middle. I used a jewelers screwdriver & drove it in at the seam of the circle. It a long plug with an allen bolt under it. Unscrewing that just takes the rectangular piece off. Then you will see another allen bolt going right into the action. Remove that & the buttstock comes off. This setup looks like a lot more work then if they just used a regular stock with a drop in action, but they must have their reasons. So know we know how to get the stock off. Now if someone wants to dig in the trigger & let me know what to do i would appreciate it. I am not familiar with working on triggers so i will leave that up to you guys. It looks like 2 allen screws & the trigger group drops out of a housing. I would like to get my trigger down to 1 lb or less. BTW i am leaving the plug out as it serves no purpose except to cover the screw hole.
A couple more things- I noticed that the burst disk on mine says 6k. I take it that means it will let loose at 6000 psi? That's a lot of air!! I re watched that video & he definitely points out that brass screw between the shroud & cylinder is the regulator adjustment. I can't see how to adjust the hammer spring yet. A schematic would sure help.
Peter - I'm sure all of us that have this rifle want to know more, but unfortunately it's new here in the states & it will take time to get in the right hands! I am happy with everything so far except the trigger but i too will have to wait until i can get some more instructions !
Hi Greg- You made a good choice for your first PCP. I'm loving the accuracy of this rifle. Are you hand pumping? Boy that's got to be a workout! I'm sure a .25 cal will be next in line. I was into CO2 & break barrels also till i watched a video by TED & bought my first PCP & haven't looked back since. I didn't mine hand pumping at first but at 68 yrs old it was not for me. I would suggest that you clean the barrel as there is a lot of preservative in it & just shoot different pellets to see what is most accurate. ENJOY & welcome to the darkside.
Greg make sure you pull the styrofoam out of the box & check for o-rings. I thought it was strange that mine came with no spares as most chinese guns do come with them. For some reason i decided to remove the styrofoam before i put the box away & there was a package with 2 bolt probe rings.
Yea i forgot to mention that. When i first looked at the gauge it was real blurry & i thought well its time to make an eye exam appointment. Then i put on my readers & saw the film. BTW did you also get 2 mags & stainless steel fill probe? Just wondering if everyone is getting the same stuff.
Took mine apart again to study the trigger . I was going to drive out the pins holding the trigger but i saw the trigger housing is plastic. I don't have a small enough punch & if you should enlarge the holes while driving them out then the pins won't hold & you would have a problem. So i focused on the 3 adj. screws. Anyone that has a liberty will see in their manual screws A,B &C. Screws A & C are basically pre set & cannot be screwed in any further because of the large head of the allen screw I replaced screw C with a longer one & got my trigger down to 1 lb. But I don't recommend this as the safety no longer functions. I just target shoot so this works for me. I did have the safety working at around 2 lbs but i wanted to see how low i could get it. Under 1 lb & the sear doesn't catch.I still think that replacing the springs in the trigger will be the way to go. i just couldn't get along with the 3 1/2 factory pull. I put 4 mags through it with no problems, but for you hunters i would not go below 2 lbs & make sure your safety works.
