Pat, do you own a Marauder? Just curious if the Marauder baffles would fit in the NV Liberty shroud? Since it seems to use a Marauder magazine, maybe it borrowed some other parts as well... I know a couple vendors on here sell the Marauder baffles, so if they fit that might be an option to quiet the bark some...

I see the part you are talking about but manual say's nothing about it? It does say The rifle is equipped with a 400 bar (5800) automatic overpressure valve-(burst disk)? I'll bet that will make you change your underwear in a hurry!! I don't understand why none of the airgun companies can't include one more page in their manuals with a parts schematic?

Paul- The rifle is not bad sound wise which didn't make sense to me because of no baffles. I did try marauder baffles & also hatsan baffles but no go. The id. of the nova shroud is .8840, my marauder is ..7675 & my hatsan gladius is .8325. I have moderators on all my rifles except the marauder. On my gladius i just removed the shroud completely & put a weihrauch moderator on it. The marauder magazine does fit in the nova but it doesn't snap in like the factory mag so i would stick with the originals. I am sure that donny can make an adaptor for the threaded muzzle end but i shoot mine on low power & the sound doesn't really bother me. But i understand that sound affects everyone different.

Thank you! I guess it was a fleeting hope that they shared the same shroud... On the magazine, I wonder if they are actually using the Umarex Gauntlet magazines? I know the Marauder magazine fits the Gauntlet, albeit not as snug as the Umarex magazine does, but the Gauntlet magazines won't always fit the Marauder because they are slightly thicker. If a Gauntlet magazine fits, that would be awesome because you can typically find them cheaper than the Marauder magazines..

Realtempted to pull the trigger on this one but a couple weeks off so hopefully by then we can get more hands on info. The ATI sight is pretty bad for details as well as pics so how about someone posting some pictures for us to drool on? I like the more traditional look to the stock as well as the included sling studs, a nice extra.

It's funny that i wrote Nova in china an e-mail after i first got my rifle telling them that they were on the right track with the way the gun is set up. They replied within a couple of hours and thanked me and said how they were working hard to make inroads into the pcp world. Then i e-mailed again asking how to remove the synthetic stock from the action & never heard back. I guess they don't want us working on our guns! I am sure everything will be figured out in time.

I'm very tempted. My .177 Nova Freedom was an absolute tack driver and loved the open sights on it. This would be a great gun for me as I really want a quiet PCP with open sights but wasn't the biggest fan of pumping when I have my own compressor and tank lol call me spoiled and I just want to shoot without pumping it back up and this looks like a great option

Couldn't agree more! I have an AV compressor & could never go back to hand pumping so i guess i'm spoiled now too. I remember as a kid before remote controls were invented having to constantly get up & down to change the tv channel-- All 3 of them! So i am all for anything that makes life easier. The 300 bar cylinder is what got my attention- lots of shots on one fill. Does anyone know how to tell for sure if the cylinder is titanium? I know a magnet will not stick to good quality stainless but not sure how to detect titanium?

Glad I seen this thread, I have a Synthetic American Tactical Nova Freedom .22 in my shopping cart on Amazon right now and have been deciding if I should hit buy, I have had it in my cart for a couple weeks now.

Imold, check the air cylinder volume on both models. I thought I saw the Freedom having 22 shots on the reg and the Liberty having 50 shots on the reg.

P.S. I don't own either, but my wife is starting to ask what I want for Christmas, so I'm researching.

Raining all day here in upstate N.Y. so i figured good time to put some lead down range. I filled the nova to 300 bar with the adjuster set to low. Shooting crosman 14.3 i shot down to 200 bar and got 80 shots with a high of 736 & a low of 727. Magazines worked flawless & sidelever is buttery smooth. Not as good as my wildcat but pretty darn close. I also have a spa M16 & P15 and their regs are nowhere near as good as the nova, let alone the mags! On my spa M16 i have to push each pellet in with a pencil. My spas are accurate but the regs are nowhere as consistent. Can't wait to see what the tuners can do with this gun!

I got the wood stock in .22 caliber. I can tell you I’m pleased with the fit and finish on my gun for the price. It’s not walnut but I think it looks fine better than marauder stocks thats for sure. Although I am mainly using the rifle for the squirrel woods. Now that’s not to say she’s a bad looker,but not on par with the Krals I was looking at. I wouldn’t expect it to be either at $200 less😏. That being said I don’t need a beauty queen to feel bad about scratching and dinging up while trekking through laurels or briars. I do like that it has open sights and comes with sling swivels as well. My trigger came a little heavier almost 3 1/2lbs but I haven’t tried adjusting yet. I actually like it bc it breaks really smooth and has a short take up. I’m really looking forward to spending time with the new gun. For some reason my photobucket is acting up and won’t let me upload from my phone. I’ll figure out and get you guys at least one photo hopefully🙂.

BTW if I say something is a good deal for the $ ... it more than likely is

If one sees the need for baffles in the shroud, perhaps sen GEO the measurements and he can 3D print some , others could also spin something up on a lath.
Glad those who dared took the"risk" with this gun, after the DAR scare.
The Nova Freedom is not regulated, but can be pumped after 5- 10 shots depending on the cal. to give similar results.

YES it is much better scenario then to use split air pump. But for owners of home 300bar air compressor is better to use 300bar regulated/adjusted Nova Alpha.
