guys i ant got it running yet but i am working on it i got to mount a water tank going to use a clear storage tote got the 400 gph 110 pump got to reduce presure the yh uses like 5/16 line and the pump has a like 7/16 or bigger line out mounted black can on wall got other filter in fill end made me a line holster on wall what you guys think i got a flow guage on its way to mount in line and got 2 shelf built on the left where my guns will lay while i am filling them guy i took presure guage off from top mounted it on side where i could see it then i put fill hose in place where the guage was will it work like that

got flow guage in stalled and replaced fitting on 400 gph pump went to hard ware store got a fitting that threaded in reduced it to 3/8 i got factory line to fit both fittings was hard to get started but i forced it and it worked

Looking good Fred!  I like your idea of mounding the gauge on the side, I may do that if it works for you. I have a high side brass shaft with bushing on order from AliExpress to get mine working again. It was working for a while after I sanded down a could of the split bushing I previously bought, but it didn’t last long before it wouldn’t fill past 2500 psi. So, I’m currently down again awaiting parts!  I was able to get the connector that stripped to work by removing one of the seal washers. Hopefully all it needs now is the new bushings and shaft on the high side.

Looking forward to hearing how that set up works for you Fred, it looks first class!

thanks guys  its kinda crude my set up is i just used a/c duck straps on my stuff kinda wish i used more fancy straps i left the black filer alone i asume its gust got white round filters i opened up both ends found a peiece of cloth i left it i hope it works the flow meter was just a add on i liked the idea seeing water flow throught it i got some red antfrezze like they use in campers this is on inside of my shop no heat figured adding a little antfrezze would help all i like now is water tank eather going to use a cleare contaner with lid or a half of a 5 gallon bucket  the pump is a lot bigger than the 90gph they send with the a/c compressor its just a fish tank pump one guy said he got a 160 gph and it worked good i hope mine ant to big

I use a clear tote with a cover it helps cut down on evaporation and keeps debris out of the water.

I'm still up in the air about getting the Yong Heng myself, I like how some people have reported on them but there's just too many that have had bad luck with them, I hope the best for you Fred.  Right now for me it's a toss up between the Yong Heng and the Shoe Box

I would not be up in the air on it,  Mine has been going for over a year now, and I want to say right at 100 hours.  I log each time I use it and how long it has run for....this way I can report real facts on MY experience with this little thing. 

As to the bad reports on it, I take them with a grain of salt,  I can count on one hand the ones I believe, that had photos and enough detail that made me think they really do own the thing.

There is so much snobbery in this hobby it is not even funny, just look at the stupid with Ted over the Gauntlet....some people have a real bias against more inexpensive things....and it that more inexpensive thing can be shown through photographic evidence that is it as good as something costing 4x as much...well those that love spending big $$$ just lose their mind and have to bad mouth the product as much as possible.

The real truth is this hobby is getting a great deal like guitars, years ago unless it said Fender, Gibson/whatever "name" brand it was going to be pretty poor...heck even those are pretty pore at times.....now however you can grab an Epiphone or Squier and have a darn fine guitar....some of the "higher" end classic vibe and such run right there with the Fenders......Now we have guns and support equipment coming out that will run with items costing much more....those with the big name stuff are going to have a real issue, will buyers keep buying that expensive item, or move to another, there is no Jimmie Page, or VanHalen using that FX or Daystate....so if your Gauntlet will put the little hole in the paper just as well.....well....

Wayne,  I would not hesitate on getting a YH compressor.  For the price, even if they only last you 2 years, you can buy 3 of them for the price of one of those high end compressors and still come out a head!

I just rebuilt the YH Simple/Stater model I got from Walmart over a year ago.  I probably should have left it alone, but it was only filling my 90ci tank to 4000 psi.  Now it won't fill anything over 2500 psi!  I have some parts on order for it so I can get it back up and running, but it will become my back-up.  I ordered a new YH with the set-pressure function for under $200.  At that price, it was almost cheaper to buy a new one!

Paul for that price it's even more tempting if it's a genuine Yong Heng   I guess that I haven't been looking for them enough.  I need to do some more researching I guess.

Wayne, All the pictures showed it to be a Yong Heng and under the specification, it said:  "Type:  YH-QB01."  I guess I'll know for sure when it arrives.  You never know with some of the vendors on eBay, but this guy had a pretty decent rating (97%) and a ton of feedback, so I have my fingers crossed!

Guess you've never heard of constructive criticism? That's where you try to tell someone something that will improve them. Both my parents and jobs taught me the value of that. If you aren't willing to listen to constructive criticism, and act on it, you won't improve much.

Also, there are a lot of politicians that I don't have anything nice to say about, but I'm not keeping my mouth shut about them!!!!

+1..this aint comp class...the little yong hengs rock...if you were offering constructive criticism on his set up that would be one thing but to blast him and his writing skills is so far off and similar to what a first grader would do...my girlfriend made me take the yong heng off the kitchen counter,i guess the 5 gallon bucket was unsightly...

My new YH compressor showed up today!  The good news is, it is a Yong Heng Compressor and it is the set pressure model!  Unfortunately, it's missing the power cord, water pump and hoses!  This wouldn't be a big deal if it weren't a 220V model, because I don't have a 220V power cable.  The water pump and hoses are no big deal because that's already set up.  The old compressor the cord was hard wired to it, this one has a standard plug in like you find on a computer or monitor on the end that plugs into the compressor and a standard Chinese plug on the other to plug into my transformer.  I sent a message to the seller requesting the missing parts, so we'll see what happens.

I really like my Yong Heng, I have about three hours run time on it now. The only problem I've had was a fitting loosened up on the second stage and I had to tighten it by 1/8th turn against the compression washer to stop the slight air leak. As far as I'm concerned if it lasts me a year I've gotten my money's worth, just by not going into Nashville to get my tank filled, and not knowing if it would get filled to 4500 if the compressor's tank wasn't full. I like having air independence.
