How my fill hardware evolved

I thought I would put out there my homemade fill adapter I finished last month. Works great. Yes, I know it seems I copied it but I had already thought of this almost 15 years ago and just had not made it.
Re the picture: I went from a bunch of high pressure fittings to the store bought coupler with vent to the 4140 steel 'round' that is cross drilled 1/16 {the small passage size is so if a hose blows the 1/16 passage acts as a restricter orifice to limit flow} all meeting in the center then drilled and tapped to the appropriate size for each station.
Clockwise from main inlet SCBA adapter on the left side, 2nd inlet - cascade fill with check valve, calibrated gauge, vent, fill nipple (open), and an auxiliary spot just plugged for now but might use as second cascade inlet at a later date.
Both inlets have a sintered bronze filter disc under the fitting I cut down to fit from a larger fitting and pressed in.
Finished with a little cold blue and rubbed LPS3 on it to keep the rust down.
Note that I am also using this not only to fill my rifles from my tanks but to also FILL my CF bottles from my compressor and have taken it to the dive shop to use as an adapter (they don't have a SCBA adapter and the local firehouse is antigun, even pellet rifles) to get a helium fill for one of my CF tanks for 'supercharged' hunting times (HPA to practice, He to hunt with 20% boost). Since there is no check on the 'outlet' male foster it works nicely and we can see the actual pressure the bottle is getting since the bottle gauges are usually off somewhat and my gauge is calibrated so I can check against the rifle gauges too...
