.22 D52 Silicone chamber oil or not?

Title says it all. I have used Silicone chamber oil for years in both my D52 and my High Score D27 but what say you? BTW I lubed Both rifles with very heavy moly paste, the D27 35+ years ago and the D52 last week.

My understanding is that Moly paste is used for metal to metal contact and silicon oil is for rubber to metal contact.

I use a very light coating of SuperLube in the compression chamber per Charlie Da Tuna and molly on the piston.  My tunes usually diesel for about 10 shots, then settle down.

I think this method is considered "old school", but so what .

i have a 52 and a 54.

both manuals call for chamber lubrication and recommend silicon chamber oil.

i currently have an RWS squeeze bottle of chamber lube that i use.

I am using the Vortek "CNC precision machined High-Temp Molybdenum Disulfide blend polyurethane.
Permanently Lubricated seals" and a light coat of Air Venturi Moly grease in both my D54 and HW97K. It works well and is pretty consistant. The factory seal should be treated as instructed with PURE silicon oil every couple or few hundred shots. I did my first tune on my 54 with Moly grease on the factory seal to no ill effect though. Personal preference in the end I think.
