What airgun related did you do today?

Looked for the new airgun by make gate. Not there so maybe down for maintenance or maybe just my connection.

Finally got the 22 brod out to tune. Ended up ten shots with 27 gr slugs 991 fps down to 970. The power is great although I was hoping for more ... as usual lol. Now I have everything together to tune though. Now I can check out some of the big boys and get some real life power levels.

Spent a couple of quality hours in the garage with a can of gasoline and a toothbrush cleaning hardened grease off of my 1968 HW35.  It looks pretty nice now.   I'll finish the degreasing with brake cleaner in the next couple days.  Then the exiting part begins.

As an interlude, I plinked at fox targets with my P1 and Crosman 100 briefly.  Got those metal foxes flappin'!

I shot about a hundred of the new 7.6gr Gamo/Crosman Premiers through my Crosman Fire.  Results were mixed.  They don’t shoot as well as H&N FTT but they shoot a lot more accurately than than the old 7,9gr CPHP.  A good plinking Pellet in this gun and even an adequate pesting pellet if you don’t shoot beyond 25 yards.

Topped off the armada bottle gun this morning and found a loose gauge. Fingers crossed maybe I found the slow leak. Then I figured since work got rained out maybe it's time to shoot this one over the chrony again. First up was the 54 gr h&n slugs. Too slow. Then I went through the 30 cal ammo and discovered I didn't have anything 50 grains. So I opted out for some 48.6 gr vortex strike pellets. Pleasantly surprised to see them shooting around the 910 fps range for twenty one shots. That puts this rifle in the 86-87 fpe range. Which is only three or four foot pounds shy of the original goal I had five years ago. It has been an adventure lol and one heck of a money pit.

the Zelos came this afternoon, all good, cleaned and inspected, mounted a UTG 4-16x44 compact scope on it with medium rings, aired it up and leak tested, all good, test fired and sighted in scope, found the gun loves Benjamin .25 pellets, stacking them at 36 yards, JSB MKll's group good too, but just a little wider groups, I didn't do any FPS tests, my chrony is buried in my truck and I'm too lazy to dig it out....      so at this point it is ready to hunt with, I got 2 mags worth of shots out of it before it dropped below 2000 psi, regulator set at 2000 psi factory settings seem very good, trigger is just fine, no need to adjust, this thing has some good power, blew right through 3/4" marine ply and a metal sign, I suspect it's shooting in the low to mid 900's fps, I will find out when I dig the chrony out sometime.... so far I really like it, it is very light weight and feels good and balanced...

Dug out the Chrony and tested the Zelos .25 cal,

Pellet- Benjamin .25, 27.8 grain dome
Average FPS @ 2000 psi - 921 fps
FPE- 52.37

works for me....
cuts 1/4" vines at 30 yards.... makes yard work fun....

I got out the m50 carbine today and did some rearranging. I took off the great kami and put one of the brakes I have on it. Then I swapped out the red dot I had on it for a cv life  fox spook that has the shake awake function.

Then I started to run some strings with my 1720. The critters are ramping up the pressure as the garden grows.

Replaced the belleville washer in my FWB 124 with a brass washer to remove some lock up play. Raining hard will try tomorrow if it doesn’t rain again.

I pumped up the Flash-R.  80 strokes brought her backup to 3,000 PSI.  I’m feeling a nice little kick to my heart and respiration rate! Maybe I should make it a point to shoot my PCP’s down and pump them backup each day.  That would give me a nice 30-40 minute aerobic workout.  Make my doctor happy!

If the order of Vortex Strike pellets gets here from Hatsan today I’m going to shoot this gun until it drops off the regulator.  Thinking about swapping some higher scope rings so I can mount the magazines.
