3D Printing a new Baffle for the Avenger, the last one broke to easy, to thin on the fill setting, set the fill to 100% and changed the baffle to my design, has more structure to it, we'll see how it works...

The felt cleaning pellets hit the old wasp nest and show as a white plug. No insect activity ensued there that I saw either last night or today.

Unfortunately, I found several bigger and more recent nests in all the other highest under-eave corners. In frustration, I shot felt pellets at one of them, which also left white plugs but didn’t break the nest. They shoot with better accuracy than expected but being both lightweight and soft, there’s not much punch to them.

We’ll need to break out the tall ladder and cans of Raid Black to convince the evil things to vacate. Unless a gel bead gun can do the trick at (vertical) distances of 20’ to 30’.

Oh, yeah, I also shot normal lead pellets after that, mostly at cans. The wind is still kicking up. 20 shots on the 880 and 14 on the Blue Streak, mostly from 50’ standing offhand. I look forward to trying the all-black peep inserts (0.093” and 0.050” holes) I ordered; shooting with the Twilight 0.093” insert in bright sun makes it hard for me to see the front sight well. I don’t know how much, if any, difference they make, but the cost to try is low.

Yeah I'm not unhappy with mine either. Nope, It's not a Diana but I knew that going in but, I didn't pay for the Diana name either. I payed for a Chinese break barrel with the Diana name on it.
The scope?  Throw it out and put a $80 Hammers on it. The trigger? Heavy but a hard snap let off.
Cocking effort? Let's just say that you are a stronger man than I. 
I can work with the accuracy.

I just put the scope on and sighted it in. You're right - it "kind of" does what a scope should do. I can hit stuff using it, but it's not very good at gathering light.

I'm used to the cocking effort of this rifle. It's just like a Crosman Vantage NP, and even my Meteor Evo - they all have the same innards.

For those interested, this airgun will spit out 14.3-grain CPHPs at 730 FPS and 14.66-grain H&N Excite Hammer pellets at 700 FPS, which is identical to the performance of the Crosman Vantage NP, which I think shares the same powerplant. I installed the admittedly cheap scope with the supplied mounts, and once I had it sighted in with the Excite Hammer pellets, I was somewhat surprised to find that the Two Fifty is extremely accurate, especially for a "sporter" air rifle. I added a little moly paste to the chisel breech detent, and it made a world of difference regarding the ease of breaking the barrel open. I also put some thread-locker (nail polish) on all the screws that attach the stock to the receiver because I noticed that they were loosening up during my testing.

Shot the modded Target Master off of the tripod from the Casting Cabin today.
Pretty slick compact setup that works well in the confines of that 8x10 shed.
I use the OrcAir compact compressor to top off the 3k gun in around 30 - 45 seconds and I'm good for a couple CARM mags of the Norma 9.1 heavies.
I have a trap set out to 20yds out the door.
The data below is with the Crosman 10.5 ultra mags.
I need to grab new pics and record some updated data.

 I had found a TAIGEAR   leg drop holster (missing some pieces) at a yard sale. Maybe this is an airsoft holster?
 Anyway, brought it home and made it over into a belt holster, perfect for the P17. 
 Finished today.

Planted new yardage markers from my patio straight back to the edge of my yard.

I started at 20 yards and placed matkers every 5 yards ouy to 60 yards.

My son welded these 3/4" x 3" mild steel cut-outs to 12" screw spikes.

I stamped the yardage on each marker.

Before the bar sold I buried red bricks flush at 25, 50, 75 and 100 yds. I no longer have that yardage and just have trees that mark 25, 30, 35 and 45 now.

Nope, other than the new owner putting locks on the doors once our time ran out to get everything we wanted out of it and off the property. He was fair enough to give us a month and 1/2 to do that.
As a matter of fact, Betty Lou just told me he was out there with a tractor mowing. This is the first time it's been mowed or even touched since he bought it. I offered to mow it but he said he would take care of it himself.
Maybe this is a sign that he will begin doing something with it. He has told me that the first things he planned was a complete new metal roof and a French drain around it. Next he said he plans a privacy fence all around it.
Our access to the road is actually on his property but he is not allowed by law to land lock us in. He knows this because he was told by the Sheriff in my presence.

LOL... ain't like that...
This was a building on the old homestead many years ago. It served as quarters for farm workers. Later on it was a speak easy until that was shut down. Then it became Killer's private hangout until we moved in and took over. Then it became our personal hangout. We were not the  registered owners of the property. It had been put in Killer's exes name. When Killer went into the nursing home she sold it to the highest bidder. It sold for way more than it was worth.
The was alot of history in that building, both good and bad and you could just feel it when you went in. Everything that was in there had been there since the old speak easy days and we cleaned it up and kept it as it was other than putting our spin on it.
The guy that bought it was going for a play to buy all of this 5 acres. That ain't gonna happen.
We mourned the loss of the bar for awhile but we're over it.
We've turned the screened porch, the Red Shed, the utility room and the Casting Cabin into areas that we can enjoy even more than we did that bar... and ain't nobody gonna take that away.

... as for the privacy fence..
His plan is to turn the bar into a cabin for his hunting buddies to stay in when they come up from Florida. I'm sure they will have campfires and outdoor activities just as we do. I welcome the separation. He and his brother own 60 acres at the end of our dirt road and both have cabins/homes back there. It's good hunting land.

Finally got the 3D printer to print without Crash and burning the part, just a little Z-Hop added .6mm did the job, now I have to find a new Leak on the Avenger, it's a slow one, got a feeling it's the fosters fill port or the poppet, it is a Refurb from PA, well more things to do.....

More Casting Cabin improvements....
I retired Big Red (the Air Max Extreme MKII compressor) and tucked it away under the workbench. I replaced it into service with the VEVOR Yong Heng knockoff compressor.
The VEVOR was in Betty Lou's utility room on the workbench and needed to go away. I rebuilt this compressor a couple years ago and  it has seen very little use since then. I added a couple ounces of AV compressor oil in it to bring it up to the center of the red dot, put a dead head in the qd on the whip and fired it up. Quick, fast and in a hurry it ran up to 3500psi and I hit the bleed... yep, it works.
Next I removed a trailer wheel rim from the wall that I kept a shop compressor hose on... don't need that anymore. I used the space for the yard sale guitar stand converted to a gun stand. One of the best things I ever bought for $5. (iirc)

It's a steady drizzle kinda rainy day... perfect for hunkering in the a/c of Casting Cabin with airgun related videos streaming on the tablet.
