I shoot another 30 or so rounds of my new pellets. Tom (aka Tommy Boy) had suggested that I try out the H&N Sniper mediums 8.5 (.177): these are excellent pellets for my Crosman Nitro Venom. Also, I shot some Air Arms 8.4 Diablos--what super shooting pellets.

I put the Huma back into my R10 after determining there was nothing wrong with it. I set it to 100 bar just for kicks and have turned the hammer spring out so far I can't put the end cap back on and it still hasn't started to roll off the plateau. It's shooting the 8.44 gr JSB at just about 845 or 850 FPS. The next step is to mess with the transfer port to see if I gain anything for the same regulator and hammer settings. If that works (and it should), I'll probably head back into higher pressure settings to see what we can do.

At the same time, I'm looking to see what I can do in the way of hammer debouncer or blast tamer.

installing a new scope on the Brocock Contour.

checking the alignment for cant on all my rifles.

building a small lightweight table i can carry into the back of the yard when shooting so i'm not constantly bending out of my chair for another pellet.

nothing fancy, just adding some 2X4 legs to a top someone gave me.

too windy today to try out the H&N Sniper lights and mediums i just got or re-zeroing in the rifles.

Cup holder is almost mandatory! Just make sure you get the one that will fit the beer with a cozy on it

Spent some time with my Diana Bandit. It's pretty much stock. Shooting practice at 5 meters off handI came to the realization that I really needed to do something about that trigger. Never had adjusted it. Began to really dislike it.

Took Tom Gaylords advice and ran the grub screw that is in the trigger in clockwise until the gun could not be cocked. The started running it back out until it felt like a single stage with a hair trigger. Ran it out a little more, now it has a nice light first stage and a pretty light release. In fact I might firm it up just s bit.

Anyhow accuracy increased as now I am less likely to jerk the trigger. Easier to pull through smoothly, though I still pull or lift shots frequently.

Prepped the Hercules, scoped it, made sure everything work, loaded the mag with the newly casted pellets, filled it up, and let the lead fly! gracious! This is gonna be awesome, it cocked and cycled smoothly, the pellet went easily, 6 shots later at 35yds and it's game on. Only time will tell.

on the negative side...
Got something in my right eye today... sitting at my DESK not out in the shop no less!
Did the classic pull your upper eyelid over the lower, tried not to rub...Flushed it at the eyewash station... drove home with the old drunken one-eye tactic.
Viseen and then flooded it in the shower... no relief.
Cheek is now chaffed from all the tears and sunlight is a no-go.

This is my dominant eye for shooting and I hate to think I cant use it for a while.

I have Macular Degeneration and have issues with my left eye. Fortunately for me I am right eyed.

You could wear an eye patch ....to add some bling... though....Right ?

Pay raises and promotions come next pay period for us salaried folks as well. It's been 3 years since last one so this should be a good one. No idea yet. I'm due to promote up to full senior supervisor. That's an $8k increase.
We'll see, they tend to blow sunshine in an upward direction.

Took the stock off the urban and drilled a hole in it to facilitate adjustments in the future. Also found that there is what appears to be a sling stud location molded into the stock up at the fore grip AO.

I would like to put a bipod on it so now I know it is facilitated all the more reason to do so.
