I went to the state land this morning and all I saw was a fox squirrel and a black squirrel . . . not a single red squirrel, it was pretty windy out there today too.

Haha... I strapped a vibration hour meter to a Dremel tool and let it run to wind some hours onto it to match my compressor's run time to date

Waited for a package today. It’s been in the mail too long from the day it was shipped. Watched the tracking. The thing got stuck in limbo. I guess tomorrow.

Not really sure I'd call it patience fellas it's more like OCD wrapped in obsession! Believe me there are plenty of "SQUIRRELL"!!!! moments as well. I just like to go over things again and again cause I'm a bit of a slow learner and that way whatever I'm trying to learn about at the moment really gets driven deep into the old brain box! I watched a guy install onto an AR last night and the 3 most important things I noticed or picked up was cleanliness, patience and thoroughly heat once it's applied. I had to go back and order more rail skin otherwise I'd be about 9'' short and no that's what she said comments fella's lol. Any ways it should be an interesting little project. I'll post some pics when I'm done with it.

I cast some more pellets and did some more shooting at targets with one of my Crosman 150's.

Cleaned up the pellets that I spilled on the wet ground this morning before I went to work. Screw top tin of freshly casted pellets busted open on impact in the front yard after falling off the front seat of my truck. Not happy at all.

Oops I get miffed when I just drop one! I usually dont even bother to pick it up. Soon there is like a dozen on the ground where I usually shoot from

I made my neighbors Winchester 1000 shootable again !! He gave it to me yesterday saying that he couldn't hit a squirrel at 15 feet. I shot it at my basement range
(17 yds) and couldn't tell where the pellet went. So I took off the scope to try the iron sights. Couldn't get a sight line because the barrel was bent upward. When I took the sights off I could see that the barrel was at least a 1/2 " up and the stock was cracked at the hand grip area. I was pretty sure someone let the barrel snap back so I put it in the vise and bent it back. Put the scope back on and got it to do 3/4" groups @ 17 yds. Brought it back over to him and had him try it. Sure enough he cocked it, let go of the barrel and was going to load it. He then admitted that he ( or someone) must have done it. So I did my good deed for the day.

Super busy day for me.
1st - Installed a Hawke Airmax 4-16x50 30SF scope on a HW97 Black Line .177
2nd - Installed a Rex 3-9x40 AO scope on a Xisico XS-25sfb .177
3rd - Reinstalled the cocking bolt that fell out of the Gauntlet 177
4th - Aired up the Gauntlet
5th - Installed a 4-16x40 AO Discovery on a Gauntlet
6th - Later in the day afier the winds abated I zerod the Weirhauch HW97 at 30 yards.
Tommorrow will zero the other rifles if the weather cooperates.
Way too busy with the air rifles today

I did an update chrony string test for my ATI Nova Liberty . . . what a fantastic gun for this non warranty one that I recently bought.

I swapend out the 25cal barrel on my Hatsan 85 Sniper Spring Piston rifle for my spare 117cal barrel. I only use the 25cal barrel during small game hunting season. I also mounted my spare black stock on this gun. I had damaged the Camo one while hunting this winter and I will be repairing it now. The gun got dropped hard, on big boulders from a from a 25 Ft embankment, in sub-zero weather and I cracked it at the SAS bolt area. When I am done with the stock... it will be Better than new.

I hunt rugged Back Country and my Guns sometimes take a Licking...then I Fix them ...and they keep on Ticking. The scope was a Lost Cause. This isn't the first time that I have shattered a scope on a rock in icy conditions...but thats OK...that is Why I have many spares.

I'll re-sight it in later nest week.

Yup ! Thats why I like CHEAP Guns.....if things are beyond hope...I am not out big bucks.

Things can get FUBAR out in the woods...especially if it is cold and icy.
