The other day I got the new piston seal onto the Gamo CFX piston and today I have nearly completed the piston sleeve, for which I recycled the side of a milk jug. For my first try, it seems to have worked out easily. Next step is to double check the receiver for burrs, lube and install. Then on with some testing...

Yesterday I picked up another Umarex Octane from a pawn shop for $50. this time in .177. Last night I tore it down, cleaned and lubed it, locktited all the screws, and sighted in the BSA scope that came with. I was very impressed at the quarter size groups at 15 yards. I didn't expect that from a magnum springer shooting .177 pellets.

Well now, that sounds like a good deal! Pawn shops around here seem to research retails prices on stuff--I don't think I've ever seen a real steal of deal.

Got my marauder to stop leaking air and sighted it in the basement. Also posted a couple break barrels on the classifieds. Mailed out a peek striker this morning.

Picked up one of those portable work benches. Took the table top off my old bench and screwed it on. Because my other bench was sitting on blocks to get the height. And just ugly.

Since my hatsan 95 .25 liked the Jsb leadfree 16.54gr pellets so much i got curious how they would performe in my 125th, so i set up the chrony at home and shot a couple of pellets, now my 125 is a bit slow so the Jsb 25.39 leaves at 217 m/s or 711 ft/s and the power is 38.7 joule or 28.5 ft/lbs.
The Jsb 16.54 leave at 271 m/s or 889 ft/s and the power is 39.2 joule or 28.9 ft/lbs, so they got some more power and speed, hopefuly they will be as accurate as the ordinary Jsb 25.39 gr...

Yesterday I got 2 Gauntlet magazines in the mail and I just finished trying one out in my Nova Liberty and it worked flawlessly to say the least, I've got something coming UPS today so I'll probably hang around home until it comes then I might head for the woods to try it out.

Reshaped the Diana Stormrider barrel band/rail... It didn't have the inward angles like most picatinny rails have on the top. It looked like more of a dovetail.. So I just filed new ones it. So the bipod sits flush and flat now.

Got taken to valve school, was informed that the guy who just bought my bullboss wanted to return it because it wont shoot after he got into it. Shot fine when I sold it, shot fine when he got it. Air usage was a little excessive but gun shot just fine (pretty sore about it). Then I opened up the barrel on my 22 marauder to .161, installed a HFTP and gauge block and reinstalled the war valve. Getting it filled now got the leak detector out too just to make sure its all good then going to go check it out with the chronograph. Pretty busy day actually.

Seems to me if it was shooting fine when you had it and it was shooting fine when he got it, BEFORE he “got into it”, that would be his problem, not yours!!! What did he do to it?

Did you get the WAR valve working?

Once he opened it up I would have to say kick rocks. You sent him a perfectly functioning gun he confirmed you sent him a good gun then he admitted he got in it then it not worthy now, not your problem.

Looked at the five favorite AG's that I had no time for ran errands with SWMBO and then some yard work. Capped it all off with a little 2 hr work session and specked out some roof top exhaust fans for a customer

Did some work on my baikal, after i installed the gasram i shot some chrony numbers and she was only giving around 158 m/s, 518 ft/s but sounded like a 1300 ft/s canon! Googled some and watched some clips and found out that the transferport/barrel seal was only 2 mm, so i drilled a bigger hole and now it's around 182 m/s, 597 ft/s, not gonna drill anymore, but gonna make another from a vacuum hose, found a couple in different size at the local carpart dealer that i can cut and experiment with

It's raining cats and dogs here, so I'm not able to shoots anything, but I did do a few air gun related things. I got a call from JSAR this morning, they got a shipment of FX Dreamlines in, so Matt is checking one out for me and it should be in the mail by tomorrow. I also listed a couple other closet queens in the Member Classified Gate. I'm trying to thin the herd down to just the bare essentials... Err, or to make room for new additions!
