I mounted a better scope on the FX Crown and zeroed again for ~25 yards will try to squeeze in some chrony testing today and make sure the regulator is stable . This is an impressive rifle great fit and finish , and we all know about the accuracy of the FX rifles. I cant wait to get this rifle and the Airmax out to the Brookhaven range for some 50 , 75 and 100 yard accuracy. It will be a sort of side by side comparison since both are single hole shooters at 25 yards and I'm just curious how the accuracy for the Air speed will group at the longer distances since I already have see enough long range data on the FX Crown with other watched videos from reputable testers and the Crown did compete in the extreme benchrest very successfully.

I'm pretty sure the Crown will group very well at 100 yards I just don't know what the Air Speed will do beyond sixty yards

Don if I ever did buy a higher end gun it would more than likely be one of the FX's.

I think that everyone should own at least one quality higher end air gun. Over the last two years I have been refining my collection and selling off most of my low and mid priced AG's to fund the purchase of better rifles. Much of the time I look at fit and finish and how the rifle fits me but paramount is the accuracy. I will keep a few of my less expensive rifles for the tinker factor. Guns Like my PP700sa , Gamo Whisper and Swarm Maxxim and a couple of the bargain SPA plinkers for can killers. The keepers like the Air Speed .25 and my Air Arms S510 Xtra FAC .177 are long time keepers for sure.

Yeah Quality over Quantity. I find the more I have, the less I use.

Well I pulled a near disaster oops today!

I got set up to do some shooting and noticed the bottle on the gun was down to 1,000psi. I grabbed the 90cu in bottle to fill it like I have done 100 times before.

I keep a 'blind end' test plug in the foster fitting on the bottle to keep dirt and dust out. But the foster was being really stiff to pull back. Without thinking I pulled on the foster sleeve pretty hard and POP out came the blind plug smacking my left palm pretty hard, it smarted but no damage done. The blind plug flew halfway across the county, still have not found it!

I had checked the bottles pressure last night to see if it needed filled and it did not. I opened the bleed valve and "though" I had let all the pressure off, then closed the bleed valve and it sat overnight.

Well either I did not get it bled all the way down or it built up some pressure on the fill line overnight

The gauge on the bottle did not show anything. so it was only a couple of hundred psi.

Now I will always remember, that if the foster is hard to open check for pressure on it!

Lubricated the Daisy 747, and fiddled with the quattro trigger on my 95, got it pretty good, but need to do some outdoor shooting at a target to realy feel the difference

Got the gauge to stop leaking on the marauder and ordered a fill assembly from crosman. Also mailed out some items that were purchased over the weekend. Kept eyeballing the armada but it's really windy and chilly out today, so... nah! And sulked about the marauder leaking.

Got my Urban in today and ran a few pellets thogut it at 10y. If I had some way to pump it up id still be shooting.

Yep, although Doc was just checking my healing progress. It's been almost a month since I had the teeth pulled and the denture made. I need three more weeks of healing before the soft inlay is put in. Then 3 more months for the permanent liner.
Meantime, I'm learning to live normally with them. Maybe I'll lose weight because I don't enjoy eating as much.
