Did some tuning since I got my China chrony.

I redid the shim on my P17's piston.  5 layers (edit: it's aluminum foil tape) instead of 4 (0.025 inches total) which is as much as I can go without putting too much strain on the linkage.

Before (0.020"):  417-423, average 420
After (0.025"): 426-433, average 430
[7.6 grain]

Then I shimmed the pump cup on my 1322 (used a plastic disc from a coffee can lid and a very, very thin o-ring):

Before:  477-483, average 481 at 10 pumps
After:  485-490, average 487 at 10 pumps

I also greased the striker on the 1322, and I ended up having to clean most of it off because I used too much.

All day long it was sunny and calm - 65 degrees.
 But a half hour BEFORE the time-clock said it was time to go home the wind picked up.
Quite gusty here now so shooting for accuracy is a no-go.

Never the quitter, I opened my "wish list" and I called Crosman, spoke to a nice chap, Kieth.
He helped me empty my wallet.

Soon, I will be heading up to the workbench for my 2060 build.

Repaired a plastic fantastic 66 and switched out a bad from the factory 2280 barrel.

I worked on adjusting the regulator pressure on my .25 Gauntlet yesterday.
It was set at about 1700 PSI from the factory. Came with only two red shims installed.
I added one .010 shim and that raised it to almost 2200 PSI. I'm shooting for 1900 PSI.
I removed the .010 shim and installed a .005 shim. Pressure came in at just above 1800 PSI.
Opened the regulator up again and measured the factory shims. Two red shims, both measured .021.
Measured my McMaster Carr .020 shims and they measured .020 on the money.
Today I plan to replace the two red .021 shims with the .020 shims and a .010 shim to see what I get.
It's interesting to see what just .005 will do.

Note to all you Gauntlet guys out there - do not just start stuffing a bunch of shims into your regulators!

Planned to swap the barrel on my 22 hw50s to the 177 just to try it and it is like a 5 min job so what could go wrong... Well just about everything with me behind the screwdriver... No problem taking it apart but the "new" one didn't want to cooperate, and ended up stripping the tread where the pivot bolt goes in, yes i am good at making stuff broken,  but i took the old cylinder and put in everything but the bolt didn't align properly and i almost did the same wrong thing, but the iq that was left saw that one of the "forks" was bendt so i gave it some wack with a hammer, my kind of tool, and finaly i got her together again and shot some into the safetybox to be sure she was ok, so the "5 min job" took me about 2 hours... A sledgehammer and a pile of rocks is my kind of hobby...

 Now I got home from work at 4:30 and need to go to my 2nd (non-paying) job at the Lodge cooking Friday night dinner at 5:30.
 Serving a bunch of members who expect "restaurant" service. And some actually have the GALL to complain to a volunteer (me).
 I SO want a T-shirt or sign that say's "The first one to complain, volunteers for NEXT week!"

I took a scrap piece of 3x3 by 1/4 steel, drilled two holes and hing it off mechanics wire on a u-shaped bent rebar at 25 yards.  Then I ran a co2 cartridge full of pellets out of my Sheridan E pistol on it. 

As much fun as tin cans, without having to chase it or pick it up when done.

I have another to draw out a bottle and pop can on.  I will cut them out and have them as well.

Looks like we will have a BB/Pellet steel range on the north side out the garage and the 25 - 100 yard steel range out the west side. 

It just keeps getting better.

Tried to install a vortec tune kit in my TO1 triggered RWS M48. Wouldn't cock, think it's coil binding. Mounted a UTG 3-12 44mm side AO on my new Senica Aspen.

Actually this happened several days ago - but I have just returned from Louisiana (*) and am back at the computer:
My brother-in-law and I talked at length about hunting with pellet rifles.  He is almost definitely going to buy a PCP to hunt squirrels with.  I told him to talk with my brother about shooting a few pellets through my brother's Discovery so he (brother-in-law) can get a feel for PCP accuracy and shooting comfort.
(*) My Judy and I went down to Louisiana to sign papers to sell our Louisiana house.  WOO HOO!!!

Went to a shooting range with Hayfoot and got to see his new .25 cal FX Impact and his .22 Marauder.  It was very much a pleasure to meet him, although I probably didn't communicate that very well since the whole environment was new to me, and the noise of the PBs made communication difficult.

I was hoping to get some good trajectory data on my highly modified Crosman 1322 rifle but unfortunately the wind was pretty bad.  I did get some data between times that the wind blew our targets down.  We spent plenty of time waiting for the next line break even when everyone else's targets were down too.

The man and kid at the next station managed to put a couple of bullets through the PVC frame holding my own target (their target was at ten yards; I started at 25 and worked my way up to 50), and the ones on the other side destroyed their own frame at ten yards.  Good grief!!  I could throw rocks more accurately that that!  LOL

Yesterday was pretty much a rain day so I did manage to test my Liberty@20yds, I was using the 19.6 grain pellets with the open sights, it took a bit to get it sighted in but the end results are very promising with a 5 shot group less than dime sized.  After that I decided it was time to cast up some more of these pellets because they're such darned good shooters and  my supply was drastically depleted from doing a lot of chrony work with my Liberty and enjoyment groups with my Crosman 150.  I just got done testing my yesterdays batch of pellets and they're great.
