I built a PID controller for my Lee Pro 4 20 lb. casting pot!
Put a new rectifier on the Grizzly 600. Battery seems to be charging now.Airgun related...6 months or so ago a guy bought the property just outside the airport behind us. He put up a fence that blocked my access to the airport and river beyond. I stopped and talked to him yesterday... nice guy. He showed me a way in and told me to also go talk to the guy in the hanger at the airport. I went and introduced myself to "Leon". Nice young guy. After talking awhile I paid my dues with a quart of my Apple Pie Special. This gained me full lifetime access to the airport, river, and woods beyond as long as I don't get on the runway itself. Unlimited shooting and fishing. He also asked me to kinda keep an eye on things when he wasn't there. He offered the combination to the gate lock. I turned it down and told him I already had a hidden point of entry. He actually liked that idea.
Our place is in red. You can see the relationship to the airport.
Wayne, if you ever decide to sell one of those 150s, holler.I spent some time working on my 13xx pumper. It has a Baker aluminum breech- the stainless steel cocking bolt was too thick to fit inside the breech slot. Machining was fine but didn't work with any of my bolt probes (both stock and extended)... SO I chucked up the bolt in my poor-man's lathe (in my hammer drill since it has a 1/2 chuck) and used a millcut file to take it down 4/1000s across the radius for a total of 8/1000s of an inch. Reassembled and now it cocks perfectly without any slop.I'll spend some time later this week to see what pellets it likes most on pumped-air instead of CO2... Since it is a 24" .177 Crosman barrel, I expect it to do all right with Gamo RedFires.
