What airgun related did you do today?

I replaced the front post sight with the small circular insert on my HW30S, in .22 caliber, and with my senior eyes seem to work better in centering on the target.   Charles

We went to the Andalusia Knife and Gun show this morning. As usual, all PB and knife stuff. Except for one lonely minty fresh Crosman 66 Powermaster complete with a 5 shot pellet clip. (silver barrel shroud version) I picked it up to have a look. The tag said $25 and the little guy behind the table said "You can have it for $15". Betty Lou instantly said "We'll take it".
I pumped it 3 times and it was strong. I confirmed it had no bbs/pellets in it and pulled the trigger, with permission, of course. SNAP !!!
So that came home with us.
When we got home I loaded the clip with 10.5 Ultra Mags and pumped it 6 times. Took aim at an old 6" sauce pan hanging in a tree at 25 yds. CLANG !!  3 times in a row. This gun can keel. So, we have another one to use in our Carnival Shooting Gallery Games. I already have another one to pair it with. I also have a half dozen or so clips for it.
I'll probably shoot it open sights or with a holographic red dot.
Lots of interesting stuff at that gun show but prices seemed high... Henry .22 were $900 +... $600+ used.

I completed the conversion of a donated Ruger Black Hawk Elite II from defunct gas ram to spring.
Took me 2 tries to get the spring guide length correct...gun wouldn't cock the first attempt.
I shaved off 1/16" and it is a happy camper now...me too!

I still need to rework the front stock mounting holes before I'm done, and could use a muzzle break/sight.
But, it shoots!

I had bought him an AR 2078-B 3 years ago that he never even put the sights on let alone shot.
Today I cleaned the barrel and mounted the peep. Put 2 oiled carts in and dry fired.
  Tomorrow I will check her accuracy with Meister's and R-10's

Congratulations Ron!  That gun gave me fits before I passed it on to you.  It's nice to think that someone has finally made it work.

Mounted the new Sightron scope Kim gave me on HW35E. Had enough daylight to get in 6 shots and gets elevation adjusted at 20 yards. 103 degrees today, supposed to be 105 tomorrow. Not doing much shooting in that.

While pumping the Marauder in preparation of checking accuracy before Squirrel Season starts, I noticed the hand pump was no longer building pressure.  I switched to the backup hand pump and finished filling the Marauder with that one. 
So, that meant the first pump needed cleaning.  I just finished disassembling, cleaning, and reassembling that hand pump.  It has been apart so many times, that I know where all the tools, lubricating supplies, pipe cleaners, and o-rings are located.  Quick job, done well!
Tested it??  No, I didn't test it.

Henry 22's are outrageous! Locally old worn out pump and lever 22's are just as bad, not sure what's going on. Nice find on the Powermaster!

 Stayed in most of the day also, but tossed an old favorite on the bench for some pellet testing and tune recollection. I was able to name that tune in 3 pellets Darn thing is one hole @ 10m so I have to move my poa so I know it is spitting pellets out

I always liked those.  Never had one myself though.

pulled my .177 Icon out of it's  Remmy Matchmaster stock to do a bit of final fitting... put it back in it's original stock so could send a bit of lead with it...

have 13g KO...  does well with them at 35 yards...just ordered all three H&N .177 slug weights... It has the power to send the beast out over 900  fps... 13g KO's 3000 fill start at 930 and rise to 950 and then back to 935 at about 2600 psi at current tune...down to 919 at 2300 psi...

My .22 Icon really likes the H&N 18g... saw one do just as well with the JTS 18g on ytube so had to get some to try... got the 25g for my AT44L (44 fpe) and Maximus (50 fpe)... then figured to try the .22 Meplat 21g cause some of my rifles like the similar Cuda Hunters...

need to work on my...Daisy 880...

So I paid ~100 for it... my excuse, it says #257 of 500 on it's 50th Aniv certificate... does not send anything with any real accuracy... So maybe I should be making a barrel stabilizer or 2...

Took the Seneca Dragonfly Mk2 out to see what it could do. After making sure the screws were snug, the pivots for the pumping levers were properly oiled/greased using a little Lucas firearm oil here and some Krytox grease there, all accessible steel was wiped down with some CLP, and the gun's provided fiber optic sights were properly adjusted, I shot some cans and spinner targets until I was satisfied that the accuracy was at least as good as other reviewers have reported, and the single stage trigger was more than decent.

Using 10 out of the maximum 15 recommended pumps, I could tell that that the rifle was putting out decent power. After about 25 shots. the pumping became smoother, easier, and quieter, and I was able to enjoy hitting my targets more often than not. Even though the pumping this airgun is not that difficult or heavy, especially considering the power the airgun produces, I would not say this is the best air rifle for younger shooters unless they are bigger and stronger than your average 13 year-old. Fortunately, an average sized adult should have no problem pumping this airgun, and the reward of impressive power and even more impressive accuracy is well worth the effort involved.

The nostalgia factor for the Dragonfly Mk2 is near the top of the charts, at least for those of us who started out on airguns like the Daisy 880. The fit and finish of the air rifle is excellent, the wood stock has just enough character without having any blemishes to earn a place in a display case, and as long as no parts fail during the rest of my testing, I would recommend the Dragonfly Mk2 for any adult who has an affinity for pneumatic (not PCP) airguns.

got back from the Sleep Study this morning, thought maybe I'll grab the gun and see what's around, as soon as the sun came up it got "HOT", I said forget it, I'm going in the house, and I passed out for 3 hours, keeping cool is my agenda for the rest of the summer..... 100°+ Nope.....
