I've never owned a German airgun. Honestly, they are out of my price range. The opportunity came up to get a RWS 52 that's in poor cosmetic shape and needs some overall TLC. Y'all know how much I like a good project so I jumped on it. It functions fine and shoots .22 (14.3gr) CPHP's 815-820 fps. The wood is in good shape. I can't wait to tear into this one to see what I can do to make 'er shoot better and make 'er purdy too.
I think those itty bitty #'s say build date 08 88

I can't wait to see how she comes out. Beautiful piece. Just needs some attic/garage rust knocked off. Great gun for a project! You'll absolutely love it when you're done! Congratulations!
