are front sights of RWS 54

and an HW90 interchangeable? the dove tail feature, that is.

i'm in need of more adjustability at closer yards.

i'm using a Williams FG-AG-TK with standard front sight. i can't get it to hit 'lower' at close yards (15-20).

rear sight will adjust no lower and front sight insert is too low.

i have modified an RWS 54, that uses a Mendoza rear, adjustable, peep sight, to be very adjustable by milling off the sight blade and drilling in and tapping an adjustable sight post. it gives both a sliding ramp adjustment as well as a threaded up/down feature. it works wonderfully on my RWS 54.

Don,

The problem is your stock is set up for a scope not peeps.  Most cheek combs are an inch or 2 to high for proper peep sight alignment.
Get a custom stock, take a dremel tool to it?
I've had the same problem.  You can get spacers made to raise both front and rear sights.  Had to get the front riser custom made...$$
