Hand Pump Filter

My pump is a Chinese Amazon one with about a 2" fitting at the end of the hose with a small foam filter inside.

I've only used it about 6-8 times. I took it off and there was just a tiny dark spot on the foam at the inlet , from oil I imagine, no moisture at all. Do I need anything else? I live in the desert and even with a bit of clouds today it is 13% humidity, and I'm pumping inside with the ac. There is also never any moisture when I vent the fill hose.

 Others in dry climates have stated there was no indication of rust inside their PCPs , when disassembled after extended use.
 I will let others chime in, I hand pumped for a couple years with a Air Venturi pump with desiccant in the pump handle air intake, I live in a more humid climate, pumped in side with A/C when humid outside, and outside when humidity was 50% or lower, no issues in that time frame.
 There may be a filter hack for your style pump that is cost effective.

I know some wont understand but I start complaining when the humidity reaches 20%. I guess that's what comes from being raised in a desert climate

I still hand pump all my PCP's
And  live in a high mountain desert climate..

 I rigged up a quick coupler on each end of the hand pump handle,( the intake)
  to these I put HF desiccant filters, "ONLY when pumping"!!!
The filters are sealed at each end when not in use so the desiccant is not getting used up.
