looking for a cheap fixed focus scope for a "knock about" air rifle that is only used at 20yrds.looking for a 4X, compact (if possible) with a 20 - 25yrd parallax. however, most scopes i look at have their parallax set at 100 yrds. why would say Gamo (example) offer a 4X scope with a 100yrd parallax?the best i've found is a CP 30yrd parallax.i know, i know, i can purchase an AO for not much more, but this is for a grandson and i want it as simple and light weight as possible. i also don't understand why picattiny or 20mm weaver mounts come with so many scopes when the majority of rifles have 11mm rails?
I would be a bit nervous doing that with a Nitrogen filled, or Hermetically sealed scope.... You could end up with it fogging up inside.... but if it works for you, great !!!Bob
