Hi,

Did anybody have some experience with the semi-automatic hammerless chinese airgun HUBEN K1 ?

It seems to be a entirely new breed of gun : hammerless , adjustable power from 7 to 100 joules in .22 cal, semi-auto 19 shots.

K-1 was the first version. It now up to the K-4. Not Chinese.

I 'm a fan of Matt Dubbers ' videos ; they are all very interesting and he knows what he's talking about.

I've seen the one about the Huben ….impressive ; very tempted to get one .
But now , I'm a bit confused :before your post , I was convinced it was a chinese gun ; if not , where was it designed?

I still have a doubt : I just looked at a video on YouTube called "Huben K1 unboxing" from Gregor Kamensek , and one can clearly see the inscription : Huben Hong Kong ,Co on the top of the box...

Huben is made in China, designed in Hong Kong.

I hope they will lengthen the magazine to 14mm from 11mm that it is now. The gun would make a very interesting bullet shooter in .224 or .25.

Been keeping my eye on this one, would love to seem them push it to a .30 cal, I think I would be in at that point.

I have a K1 from the first shipment Mike at Mrodair got in the only problem I've had was a air leak which a friend fixed. It shoots great and accuracy is fine for my shooting and pesting generally 50 yards, I've shot it out to 100 yards and can keep all shots in a  2" bullseye if I do my part so it's quite adequate for me.

One of the vids stated that it excels shooting the custom bullet-like pellet made for the Huben, but it does not shoot diabolo pellets that well.  Does anyone have experience with shooting diabolo pellets in it, and if so, is the accuracy suspect?  Would love to have one of these if they can shoot pellets without issue, tuned down to the 800-900fps range.

Putting some thoughts down this morning about a 5000psi titanium tube with a hammerless valve opening and here it is.
I would like to see some more reviews on the Company testing before I would buy. 350 bar would sent my pumpkin head into the next county!

[/size][/size][/font][/color] HUBEN is an emerging brand in the global airgun industry. It is dedicated to R & D, manufacturing and sales of high-precision and long-range airguns. After years of effort, it has successfully developed a new structure - hammer-less semiautomatic excitation mechanism for PCP airguns, and applied for patents for it in many countries. The working principle of the hammer-less mechanism is as follows: After the trigger is pulled to release the sear, air pressure pushes the piston backward. Driven by the piston, the air valve opens the air passage and the pellet is propelled out. Then the air passage is cut off by an adjustable shut-off valve. After that, the air pressure pushing the piston backward disappears, and the piston returns to its original position under the force of the spring, thus achieving automatic cocking. The mechanism boasts the following features: 1:High pressure valve opening. Theoretically, increasing the air pressure makes opening the valve easier. 2:The air passage diameter can be very large (even larger than the barrel diameter). Therefore, the airflow resistance is extremely low. Because of these two features, the kinetic energy is maximized. 3:The piston stroke is short and the piston itself is light weighted. Therefore, the valve opening speed is very high in a very short period of time and the vibration is small, significantly enhancing the shooting accuracy. 4:The shut-off valve is at the core of this technology. It can shut off the air passage according to the airflow speed. The wider the shut-off valve opens, the faster the airflow speed for cutting off the air passage will be, or vice versa. As a result, the muzzle velocity can be adjusted steplessly and easily in a wide range. You can adjust to any muzzle velocity you want. The air passage is cut off before the projectile leaves the barrel, thus preventing air waste. The muzzle velocity fluctuation is very small, generally less than 3 meters per second. In addition, to enhance the gas storage pressure of PCP airguns and increase the number of firings. The magazine is non-removable, but holds a whopping 19 shots.  That's a lot of pellets, so be sure to order a tin or 5 when you purchase your rifle. One of the best features of the K-1 is the that the regulator is externally adjustable. Which means you can dial in the best speed for the pellet you want to use. We suggest the JSB Pellets for this rifle, as they have been working quite well.  As with the majority of airguns, we also suggest to keep the pellets set at around 880-900 F/S for best accuracy [/t][/color] [/t]

I'm shooting the JSB 34gr pellets and a 35gr cast boolit from a mold made by MP they both shoot well in my rifle.

hi airgunhunter. what molds did you use? where can i buy? i have NOE molds in .25 for 34grains and boattail 41grains. they are doing 5 inch groups at 20 yards for me. factory testing was 1/2 at 20yards with JSB 35grains.

heres my take on the Huben
i have  a huben k1 iin .25 that will accept max .430 inch pellets or 11mm. i am not buying a huben k1 in .30...there is no point, it would be an air hog. i would buy big bore at better prices. in .22, you can get 19 shot non removable magazine. 17 shots for .25. probably 13 shots for .30 cal. thats not fun loading these man. slow to load and fast spent. anyhow, i swaged my own pellets now. they shoot 1/2 at 20 yards. with 56grains i get around 830fps. max at 870fps but that only yield 30 shots. not bad for FPE.
  dont jump into this if you only shoot pellets. they aint going to be fun when you cant hit anyhing. airguns are meant to be accurate even with low FPE.

Thanks darkcharisma, I just put in an order for the K1 in 25 myself. I am wondering what I will be shooting out of this rifle. Guess that the Mp molds are the way to go with this rifle if the NOE molds are not working.  So it doesn't shoot as fast as the 22?  That's got me concerned,  really was hoping for the power.

Duy Google mp molds on their website go to air gun molds the Huben mold is there, wish you luck, you'll want to get a sizing die also, I'll try to shoot some groups today and post them.

Just had a look at the Huben disassembly video. If you inserted a 3mm shim in between the barrel frame and the rear of the action, then you could use a 14mm magazine drum that would fit most of the .22/.224 cast bullets out there - that is if someone would make such a drum ...

Edit, that is if the air reservoir nose is long enough to still seal at the actual breech ...
