... on the other hand...
I'm sure Amazon folks eat eggs but I would't order any from them.
Then on the third hand....
So does PA employees, but I wouldn't order eggs from them either.

Really? Eggs make awesome reactive targets.

Speaking of Amazon...
FedEx will be delivering the portable stand for the flat top grill today. The canvas cover was delayed. No ship date on that yet.

Bill, you had better get some crutches for "Mr. Blackstone"; because he will likely arrive with a broken leg or three.  Hee hee

Mike, you know she is younger than your kids right?  :)

Let's try to keep the commentary appropriate for a family forum that the GTA is.

Thanks,

well... will wonders never cease.
So.. I get a package of pellets today.. from Amazon... and they're packed in a 'heavy envelope'.  Not even padded.  Now, this thread was funny, until it happened to ME, right?!
I opened the tins (couple of tins of Baracuda Hunter Extreme Hollowpoint Airgun Pellets .22 / 19.09 Grains ) and 'whew'.. they actually looked fine.  BUT, I do remember a previous order of JB heavy's that didn't fare so well... so I called amazon to report the packaging problem.
They were -so- nice about it.  They listened as I explained the fragile nature of soft lead pellets... and 'an envelope' was not going to cut it, etc.
In the end, she looked up my previous order and refunded half the money, then she made a note on my account that next time I order this item it is to be fully boxed, and lastly she sent an email to the Fullfillment department supervisor memorializing our conversation.
Well, even if they didn't ... she made me feel listened to.
Let's see if anything comes of it.

On the other hand I received my first shipment of .25 from PA and I was amazed on the effort put on the package. I really doubt Amazon could get close to that.

Hmmm Im paying the premium from now on....

With the "buy 3 and get one free", free shipping on orders over a set price and discount codes, it's hardly a "premium price". Just a great deal with excellent packaging.

Guess I dodged a pellet--my Amazon pellets arrived packed ok (surrounded by air bags) and the pellets look fine.

I hear you, but the key is the free shipping, I'll have to wait and do bigger purchases to get it. The package is amazing, I saved the box as it came to store the tins I'm not using at the moment.

I just make it a point not to order pellets online if at all possible.  Whenever something new hits the shelf near me, I try it out.  So far it is working out pretty good.  My 397 will hold a half an inch or better at 18 yards with the crosman copper magnum 10.6, and with pirhanas it will almost do the same with 1 or 2 flyers that open it up to about an inch every ten shots or so.  Every time I see another pellet I give them a try.

I have to order my .25 pellets online, so I stick to Pyramyd Air, if nothing else just because I know they will make the trip in good shape.  Pyramyd Air has never let me down shipping pellets.

Drove to my corner Walmart and bought four 500 count tins of crosman 14.3gr. pellets for $5.82 per tin.
Starting shooting the first tin this morning all are perfect, no problems and No Amazon.

Dennis it is nice when you get one that shoots the pellets off the Walmart shelf well. I have a couple.
But unfortunately others are not so lucky with their guns favorite diet.  :P

I haven't seen any .25 ammo on the shelf of a store anywhere.  I buy all my .25 ammo at Pyramyd.  I have made my last tin of Kings last over a year, haha.  It is actually a mixture of two tins.  They shoot so well in my XS28M that I can see the difference between the poi between the two different tins.  You can tell which tin they came from by looking in the back of the skirts.  Two lots of pellets, two slight variations.

I live within 30min from 5 WM, and none of them carry .25. Plus what they do have are either pointed tips or hollow points, never domes.
