custom wood transport/storage case
« on: August 06, 2018, 05:54:43 PM »
Even though there are many options and rules for transporting guns, depending on the circumstances. My idea was to build a box of sorts for my Crosman 2250b 'Ratcatcher', for transport and storage. Some scrap plywood and bits from an old pallet were used for the box and cheap hardware that was modified to fit, the handle is made from pallet wood, a SS welding rod and off cuts from the hinges. Blocking and felt was installed in the inside, and a bit of decoration on the exterior.

Thanks for the kind words and comments. It's a very basic build, no dove tail joints or fancy stuff, I just used what was at hand with basic tools, a saw, hammer and a sander. Checked out a few video's online, and went for it. Thanks again.

No, not really, it started when I went to a technical high school early 1970's. This is the first actual gun case, basic stuff even with minimal power tools. For me it's just a lot of fun, kind of therapy. I did find a video that should be very helpful, learning new or different skills is awesome.
