I have a MRod (.177 cal) that shoots JSB Heavies 10.3 gr pellets well at 890 fps (16.2 fpe). I have tried JSB Monsters in my MRod at this tune (~780 fps), but they don't shoot as well as the heavies (kind of a spiral pattern at different distances).
So I was wondering: How many MRod owners out there have compared the JSB Heavies and Monster pellets? For those of you who favor
JSB Monsters in your MRods, what velocity works best?
I am inclined to stick with JSB Heavies, but I might want to switch to Monsters, since they would buck the wind better which is an important consideration in Field Target. Since I use this rifle in Field Target, I need to keep the muzzle energy to 20 fpe or less.
Thank you!

the 13.43gr old design works great, at 20fpe(19.
for me while the redesigned no spiralling issues and wont hold a good group even at 25mtrs,, that is using standard 12groove lothar barrel,, all shooters i know my side uses poly barrel and old design 13's with exceptional accuracy

Do agree...if it fits the paertiuclar barrel well, it will shoot well. If it doesn't, it's not a matter of twist, but a matter of that barrel's likes or dislikes. Have rifles that don't like them and rifles that do, just seems to be a barrel-to-barrel
Been delaying the "improved" version. Still have some of the original version, which shoots great in several rifles....maybe the "improved verison" will shoot as well or better, but I'll find that out only after I run out of the original.
