I'm a good deal south of you in the Rolla area. There's a lot of national forest land down here that I hunt small game on. I'll bet there are some good areas up there too. Check https://mdc.mo.gov/ for conservation land that might be around you. Here's information on the Mark Twain National Forest: https://www.fs.usda.gov/mtnf.

I'm out by Millerburg and have 20 acres to shoot and hunt on.  I do a lot of squirrel hunting in the national forest and CA, especially Whitstone and Prairie Home.
